ACTION #2: Add item = ENCL_TRAILER and click to configurator button to execute the product configurator. TEXT: For our example, lets take an enclosed trailer which has various features and options that will have a final impact on the selling price of trailer. ACTION #3: Product Configurator window pops-open TEXT: At the bottom right corner we can see the base sales price of the product with no options. As we select features and options from our list of choices, this sells price will also change. ACTION #4: Show the different sections of the product configurator TEXT: On the left hand side, we can view the different groups of questions to be asked for the configuration of the product to be configured. ACTION #5: Select various features & options, show that sales price is also changing TEXT: By answering the various configuration questions, your sales team will be able to view a visual representation of the final product. As well, in the summary and price tab of the product configurator, you can view the details of your build. ACTION #7: Save configuration and select the estimate header in the quote to demonstrate the BOM that has been created generated based on a set of options selected. Using the product configurator greatly helps your sales team choose the proper configurations available for your products in order to avoid costly mistakes and decrease engineering designing time by generating a partial or full bill of material.
