10 Crazy Security Features in The White House
Top 10 facts about President Donald Trump's home security and protection. The most heavily guard house in America. Subscribe to TheHub http://goo.gl/87YJzG Security is an important part of the President’s daily life. Whether it be protection by the Secret Service or the latest technology, the POTUS has to constantly be monitored. Whereas most office buildings in the United States have some form of security, the White House makes them all look amateur. After all, the building is housing the most important government official in the country. The security features of the United States have definitely evolved over the years. What started out as a simple fence has grown to an all out technological masterpiece. And that’s just the parts we know about. It has long been rumored that a high tech bunker exists under the white house, and in 2010 it may have been confirmed. It has also been said that the White House uses a complicated system of lasers and radars. That is in addition to using classic techniques like bullet proof glass and steel fences. The technology used to protect the president is second to none. It uses the defence budget of the United States that is overwhelmingly the biggest in the world. The Secret Service is a 24/7 operation whose purpose is to protect the leader inside the White House. As they adapt to drones and changing threats, the facility must change with the times. As the Presidency is the most important position in the government, the most important building is also the White House. That means the security features must be the greatest technology available. So, here are the Crazy Security Features in The White House. For copyright matters please contact us at: [email protected]

Surprising Secrets Hidden Inside the White House
See more at www.brilliantnews.com The Emblematic White House. Home and Office to the President of the United States of America. Over the last 226 years it has been renovated, had extensions built and even been burnt down, so it's no surprise that today it's full of hidden features and built-in secrets! #1 Secret Tunnels There is actually a whole network of underground passages, rooms and tunnels buried beneath the White House. Two floors deep. Complete with a Bowling Alley, Dentist's and even a chocolate shop with rumors however spurious of a system of tunnels leading to other important buildings. #2 Secret Alarms You'd expect the president's Oval Office to be packed full of security guards, to protect him in case negotiations go sideways, right? But his elite bodyguards actually have to wait outside. Instead there are various items on the president's desk that if casually moved trigger secret alarms, signalling the guards to come rushing in. #3 Air and Water Supply Sometimes not all citizens are rooting for the same candidate to become president and it wouldn't take much for them to poison the President's water or air supply. That's why the water that enters the grounds passes through it's own special filtration system and is constantly monitored for toxins. Even the air inside the White House is pressurized higher than the air outside thus keeping out any possible chemical or biological attacks. #4 Infrared Sensors Over the years security within the White House grounds has multiplied. Gone are the days when you could wander right on up to the front door, as security has the place fenced off, with restricted areas hidden guards with dogs and even infrared sensors which trigger the alarms. #5 Secret Trapdoor For years it has been thought that there is a secret trapdoor underneath the President's desk. This perhaps stems from JFK's presidency, where an opening panel was added. However there is talk of a secret door panel in a wall in the Oval Office which leads to a hidden staircase descending into the White House's underground tunnel system. #6 Rooftop Surveillance Other than the occasional agents with cameras, the rooftops are filled with instruments and antennas said to be used to monitor the airspace above the grounds and perhaps even anti-drone vigilance. #7 Pool Tunnel The White House has an outdoor poor for the first family to enjoy the summer months. However heaven forbid an avid paparazzi should snap a picture of the Pressi in a speedo, the pool can be accessed through an underground tunnel. Problem solved. #8 Pressure Pads Apart from hidden sensors, the Oval Office also has pressure pads built into the floor so even though the agents stay outside, they know where the President is at all times, in case they have to burst in at any given time. #9 Wine Cellar The size of the first family's wine cellar is kept very hush hush, however judging by the underground bowling alley and chocolate shop, one can only imagine a winery of presidential proportions. But according to one source the wine cellar is only the size of a small closet. #10 No Secrets Having the most dangerous job in America requires a high level of surveillance. Dozens of agents knowing the locations and activities of the First Family members at all times. This becomes awkward when the President or code name: Renegade and his wife: Renaissance want to get intimate. Or according to inside agents code: When Renegade and Renaissance are Discussing the Bosnian Problem. Which of these White House Secrets surprised you the most? Comment Below!

HIDDEN SECRETS INSIDE The White House The Public Doesn't Know About
Try out ThePremium Network for free: goo.gl/n4Uxkn Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg For copyright matters please contact us at: [email protected] Since 1800, the elected leader of the United States has called it home. Over the following 200 years, it was constantly expanded, modified and renovated to both modernize it and ensure it met the needs and tastes of various Presidents. Though its name is rather unimaginative, today anyone who sees it knows exactly what this iconic building is and where it is located. Naturally, we are talking about none other than the White House. Ahead we’ll show you 10 little known facts and secrets related to one of the world’s most famous building. What kind of secrets? Well, there are the hidden alarm buttons and levers hidden all around the President’s office. With the flip of a switch, POTUS can apparently alert everyone that he needs help. Then there are the infrared sensors all around the outside of the building. These detect heat and can alert guards to an intruder. Inside, the air and water systems are pretty high-tech and monitored 24/7. The slightest trace of anything dangerous and alarms sound and systems go into backup mode. Then there’s the rumor about the trap door under the president’s desk. Reportedly installed so POTUS can make a quick escape, it only makes sense that this door should lead to an elaborate underground built beneath the White House. Back above ground – in fact on the roof – the White House has an array of sensors, radar and even a laser system built to detect intruders that trespass in the restricted airspace above and around 1700 Pennsylvania Avenue. On a less serious and worrying note, there’s also a secret tunnel that leads the First family and guests to a much happier location – the pool. We also wonder if this tunnel lets them get to the massive wine cellar reportedly located under the White House? Loaded with bottles of red, white and champagne, we guess it’s no surprise the White House would be well stocked. However, don’t expect to sneak around much of the interior without the Secret Service knowing you are there. That’s in part thanks to the pressure pads which enable them to know exactly where POTUS is at all times. Of course, this lack of privacy extends to the bedroom where a recently revealed secret indicates that Secret service agents know when the President and First Lady are getting amorous. They even have a code phrase for it. Yikes! SECRETS Casinos DON'T Want You To Find Out!
Check out these secrets casinos really don't want you to find out! From blackjack secrets to tricks at roulette, knowing these things casinos are hiding from you will help you to win that big jackpot next time you go to las vegas! Subscribe For New Videos! http://goo.gl/UIzLeB Watch our "Dark SECRETS Walmart DOESNT Want You To Know!" video here: https://youtu.be/Ri9GySOGvgM Watch our "Top 5 Most Mysterious and Powerful Secret Societies" video here: https://youtu.be/0Lu4Uvc5EhA Watch our "Dark SECRETS Brands Don't Want You To Find Out!" video here: https://youtu.be/ejz5wvVpY5w 10. Free Stuff Places like Las Vegas are all about the money. If you have limited funds but still want to gamble, a wise move is to focus on comps. ‘Comp’ stands for ‘complementary’ and it’s the casino’s way of keeping you happy, even if you’re losing. A good tip is to bet high as your opening move. Spending a few extra dollars at the start puts you in the good graces of the casino and the comps should start flowing. For example $20 per hand for blackjack gives the right impression. Don’t do anything you can’t afford though! Also if those comps aren’t happening, ask! A little initiative on your part can go a long way. Even if you are only hanging out in a casino for the weekend, you can get all kinds of free perks! Getting a player’s card is the right way to go. This is similar to a customer loyalty card and they are free. All you have to do is show your ID to register for one and then the casino will send you offers for free stuff using your info, usually in the form of coupons. Your info can also be used to snoop on what you get up to but we’ll go into that a bit later! 9. Money Maze You might ask yourself how you lost all that money after a visit to the casino. Clearly Lady Luck wasn’t on your side. But it will surprise you to learn there is another major factor involved. One that operates on a subliminal level to keep you in the building and make it difficult for you to leave. This is the maze-like design of a casino, something the owners really don’t want you to know about! The psychology of casino design is talked about by writer Bill Friedman in his book ‘Stripping Las Vegas’. Friedman mentions that the best kind of casino layout is like a labyrinth. A labyrinth made up of slot machines and other distractions. The gambler tries to find their way through this elaborate maze to get out, but a combination of short pathways and hard-to-reach exits mean it’s more likely they’ll stop to spend some more money. Some casinos are designed like intimate spaces rather than gaming zones the size of aircraft hangars. This creates a sense of comfort along with the confusion. Add to this perks like free drinks and it’s no wonder you decided to try your luck on the Megabucks machine. You couldn’t even find your way to the exit, plus its hot as hell outside at least in Vegas, so why not stay and chill for just a little while longer...5 more bucks won’t hurt….right?? 8. NORA Software NORA stands for Non Obvious Relationship Awareness. It was devised by Systems Research & Development, a data mining company in Las Vegas. NORA is keeping a close eye on you from the moment you walk in the casino. It’s no surprise you’re going to be watched in a place with lots of money but NORA goes much further. The software gathers a wealth of personal information about players via tools such as loyalty cards. See...that’s how the getcha!!! It then uses that info to weed out cheaters. However it can also be used to judge how valuable you are to the casino based on your activity. Big Brother is watching you!! NORA works hand in hand with CCTV cameras and a team of experts hired by the casino. These include security pros, cryptographers and game theorists. The technology they use is like something out of a Bond movie! Playing chips are fitted with radio frequency transmitters that let experts know if the player is being sneaky with their game. At the same time masses of information is being gathered about you. In fact you hand over much of it willingly - for example when you’re trying to get those all important comps. Some have expressed concern that this gives casinos too much power and that the information can be misused. Others see NORA software as positive for society. The security tech used by Homeland Security to fight terrorism started out in the casinos. Either way casinos aren’t that happy that you know about their snooping! But even so, we probably don’t even know the half of it. Origins Explained is the place to be to find all the answers to your questions, from mysterious events and unsolved mysteries to everything there is to know about the world and its amazing animals!

If You See This In a Public Bathroom, Call the Police Immediately!
How to Protect Your Privacy. There are places where we all want to feel safe and protected from outside invasions: for instance, your home, your car, and public restrooms. It turns out some people are placing tiny cameras in coat hooks at public restrooms to spy on you. Watch this video till the end to find out how to recognize that threat and what you can do to protect yourself and your family. TIMESTAMPS How to recognize hidden cameras in public bathrooms 1:02 Where do criminals get the cameras 2:52 How do these cameras work 3:42 How to determine if the hook has a camera in it 4:02 What are the hook cameras actually for? 4:32 Cases of spying using hook cameras in public bathrooms 4:54 What other devices can be dangerous? 6:24 How can you protect yourself? 8:55 Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY -When entering a public bathroom, always look around and pay attention to any coat hooks you see. Hidden inside these hooks are tiny discrete cameras capable of capturing not only still pictures but recorded footage as well. -Amazon and eBay offer such cameras to anyone willing to pay, and they cost less than 10 bucks. -Since these tiny spy cameras are wireless, they can be recorded remotely. This means that somebody has a remote control which is also wireless and works through walls. -Some clear signs a hook is a spying device are: it’s a double hook attached to the wall where it’s of no use, and you notice some blinking light on it. -Coat-hook cameras are supposed to be for home security. -Since 2016, there have been several cases in Florida of these tiny cameras being discovered in public bathrooms and rest areas. A 2015 case in England made headlines when a young woman spotted a hidden camera recording her while she was taking a shower in her hotel. -A survey conducted by the Which? Group found that eight of the fifteen devices you use on a regular basis including TVs, baby monitors and even toys can be hacked. -Always change default passwords and log-ins to devices that are connected to the Internet. Use sticky tape to cover microphones and cameras on these gadgets so that cyber-criminals can't see what you're doing and eavesdrop on your personal life. SECRETS Inside The White House The Public DOESN'T Know
There are many secret rooms and things we don’t know about in pretty much every government building there ever was, but there are a great deal of things we didn’t know about one of the most important buildings in the United States. We certainly didn’t know these things before now but that’s why these are Hidden Secrets Inside The White House The Public Doesn’t Know About. Subscribe to Talltanic http://goo.gl/wgfvrr #4 - The Pres And First Lady Had Code Words For Personal Time Although they don’t appear to really be enjoying each other’s company in this image, the current President and First Lady do like to spend some alone time together. Because they are who they are, Potus and Flotus, they are surrounded by security detail every step they take. Getting any sort of alone time seems like it would be really hard to come by seeing that they are always being watched like a hawk. So, to combat these issues, the President and his wife go about their business and the Secret Service issues a special code. In these engagements, the President is referred to as “Renegade” while the First Lady is given the codename “Renaissance.” The words “quality time” is then termed “discussing the Bosnian problem.” Although we can’t see the problem here. The full-on version for Potus and Flotus to steal away and act like teenagers is “Renegade can’t be disturbed now. He and Renaissance are discussing the Bosnian problem.” Gross. #3 - The White House Has Literally Been A Zoo No, we aren’t making jokes about the people here, we are actually talking about animals and man, have there been a lot living at the White House throughout the course of each presidency. We aren’t going to mention any of the normal house pets like dogs or cats, because there would simply be too many of them. Back in the day, Thomas Jefferson has a mockingbird that flew around the house, Theodore Roosevelt’s daughter, Emily, had a pet snake. John Quincy Adams had an alligator that lived in the bathroom while the two alligators Herbert Hoover’s sons had roamed around the yard. Out of all of the Presidents, however, the one who had the strangest and most exotic pets was Calvin Coolidge and his wife Grace. Here she can be seen holding a raccoon but they have had a bear cub, a bobcat, two lions, a wallaby, and a pygmy hippo as pets at the White House. #2 - The Oldest Painting Was Almost Destroyed Pictured here is the oldest painting in the entire building, George Washington’s portrait by Gilbert Stuart. The portrait hangs in the East Room, the place where the President holds meetings with the most prominent people in the world, but it wouldn’t have made it here today if not for Dolley Madison. In the War of 1812, British troops came and torched the White House, the former first lady, clearly thinking quickly, cut out the painting from the frame before she rolled it up and took it with her for safekeeping. It has since been reframed and it looks as good as new, thanks to her. The only sad part about her daring rescue is that the original painting that was there was only a copy itself. The copier had even misspelled the words “United States” so that it read “United Sates.” #1 - There Is A Shopping Center Under The White House This is certainly not something we knew but it really is a hidden secret the public isn’t supposed to know about. Although you see the President and his staff shopping while abroad, you don’t ever see him or his family dash into a mall, stateside, to shop. The reason for that is simply they don’t go because they don’t have to, and we aren’t just talking about the current Potus and Flotus. Although they could have each had their own shopping mall BEFORE Trump became President, they don’t have to waste time now, because they live on top of one. Apparently, underneath the White House is a mall of sorts. Not only does it have some of the best clothing in the world, some of which you can see on the racks in this picture, but there are also services such as a florist, a carpenter, and even a dentist.

Most HEAVILY Guarded Homes In The WORLD!

The Zombie Bunker In a world where The Walking Dead is one of the biggest TV shows on Earth, you might think that there are people crazy enough to want to build their own zombie shelter should the worst come to pass. And...you would be right in making that assumption. In fact, not only does such a shelter exist, it exists in a place you might not expect: London, England. 8. Bill Gates’ Home Ah, Bill Gates, the creator of Microsoft, the owner of DOS, one of the masterminds behind the Xbox, and one of the most charitable men on the planet. Gates has a reputation for being kind and generous, and wants to help the world however he can. But, that doesn't mean he wants people invading his privacy and invading his massive mansion. 7. Fair Field Estate From one rich mogul to another, we now head to the Hamptons. For those who don't know, this is where a lot of wealthy New Yorkers and other rich people go to during the Summer months to get away from it all. All these rich people need security. As a side note, this area was the "setting" of the hit USA TV show Royal Pains, and they did a good job interpreting how rich and lavish some of the people in the Hamptons are, but, nothing compares to the Fairfield Estate in terms of both lavishness and security. 6. The Kardashians The life of celebrities can be a bit complicated, full of pitfalls and dangers that us "common folk" can't understand. While they seem to want to be showered with attention and share all their private details with the world, at the same time they are adamant about their safety and their privacy. Only the best of the best in security guards are allowed to work at the Kardashian manor. 5. The Corbi Family Residence We've already seen just how far certain rich people will go to protect themselves, but in the case of the Corbi Family, they take things really far. This place is a fortress!! SAFE security firm founder Al Corbi built the house in 2001. SAFE is short for Strategically Armored & Fortified Environments so of course his house has to be good!! 4. Ryongsong Residence When you're the leader of a country that isn't quite well respected, you better believe that you need a good security system. And in the case of North Korea, especially in light of recent events, that need for security has never been higher. Yet, ruler Kim Jong Un has done very well in making the home of the Royal Family of North Korea very secure. Ryongsong Residence is nearly impenetrable. 3. The Maximum Security Mansion Ok, let's be honest here, if you live in a place that is called the "Maximum Security Mansion", it better live up to the hype. And this one most certainly does. Located in Evergreen, Colorado, this mansion is without a doubt one of the most secure buildings on the planet. The cost of protecting this 32-acre estate comes in at around $6 million dollars. That's a lot of protection, but then again, there's a lot to protect. 2. The White House Is it really a surprise that the place where the President of the United States lives is on this list? Because it shouldn't be. The White House is one of the most secure places on the planet. It has now housed 45 different Presidents, and through the centuries of its existence it's grown and evolved into one of the safest buildings ever. Which, again, makes sense, as it houses one of the most important people in the world. 1. Buckingham Palace God save the Queen. In this case, literally. Much like the White House, Buckingham Palace is a popular tourist destination, but don't let that fool you, this place is one of the most heavily guarded places in the world. And despite some scares and breaches of security (on a small scale), its defenses have never truly been breached. Special Report: Secrets of a Burglar Part 4
MONTGOMERY COUNTY -- It takes just minutes, but it can turn your entire life upside down, and leave your family feeling unsafe in your own home. Burglars can get away with thousands of dollars in jewelry, electronics, and weapons faster than it takes to unload your dishwasher. ABC 22/FOX 45 Reporter Liza Danver is Fighting Back to show you just how easily burglars can break into your home and steal whatever they want. After breaking a glass window by the door, former burglar Bob Portenier busts his way into a home and is on the prowl for expensive loot.Portenier has served time in Colorado and Kansas for armed robbery. Now he works for the good guys by helping us expose a burglar's trade secrets so you can protect your family. He says to be a professional burglar, you have to time everything down to the second.I'm kind of running a clock in my head. Because I definitely want to be out somewhere in between three and four minutes, he said. His goal is easily achieved in a mock break-in, since he doesn't have to look hard to find what he's after, like drugs in the kitchen cabinet and electronics on the counter.Everyone keeps it in the same place. It makes my job so much easier. I really appreciate that, Portenier joked. If someone is in your house, going through your stuff, that's not good. It's going to be hard to sleep at night after that happens, said Montgomery County Sheriff Phil Plummer.Portenier and his accomplice were able to steal cash, electronics, drugs, and guns during the mock break-in. In all, the stuff was worth more than $15,000. They snatched it up in 3 minutes and 42 seconds. It can be so quick, sometimes your alarm company doesn't even get the alarm drop, Plummer said.Speed is key for professional burglars. They don't spend a lot of time looking around for valuables. They always go to the same places like the bedroom for the jewelry box or the living room to grab video games from around the entertainment center. That's why it's important to keep your expensive jewelry in a safe and put away electronics when you're done using them so they're not out in the open, which makes it easy for a burglar to grab. If you can afford an alarm system, that's great, but police say it's not necessary to stay safe. Some more low-cost security measures include putting a deadbolt on every door to the outside, get a dog, burglars typically hate them, and install outdoor lights with motion sensors. Just a few tips to help you Fight Back.

10 Secrets every home buyer should know about insurance. James Myers, Barrie
Buying a home will also require you obtain home insurance. Here are 10 tips for home buyers. 1. Your mortgage company needs proof of your home insurance. Your mortgage company wants to know that their security is protected in the event of a fire or other some other catastrophe. They will not advance the funds for the mortgage until they are sure you have home insurance. 2. You can usually get a discount by combining your insurance. If you get your home insurance from the same company as your automobile insurance or life insurance they may discount the cost of both policies. 3. Rural property is generally more expensive to insure than urban property. One of the factors in determining cost is the distance to the nearest fire hydrant and fire station. The time for the fire department to get to your house and the access to a water supply are both important. 4. Home insurance does not cover all types of water damage. Flooding and leaky basements are generally not covered. Check your policy to see what is covered and if additional coverage is available for purchase. 5. Having a home security system may get you a discount. Ask your insurance company if they offer any savings for having a monitored home security system. 6. Having a higher deductible can lower your premiums. A higher deductible will lower your premiums but will increase the amount you must pay out of your own pocket if a covered loss occurs. 7. Know the difference between Replacement Value Coverage and Market Value Coverage. Replacement cost is the cost necessary to repair or replace the entire house. Market value is the value of the house in it’s current condition. 8. Insurance companies will ask a lot of questions about your house. They want to know the type of electrical wiring, type of plumbing, whether you have a fireplace or woodstove, size of the house, distance to a fire hydrant among other things. 9. Notify the insurance company about any additional structures on the property. This includes any sheds, gazebos, detached garages. Ask that they be covered by the policy and if possible, know the value of such structures. 10. Shop around and get quotes. Prices can vary widely. Especially if you are insuring more than just your home. Just be sure to compare what is covered as well as just prices. These tips are just to raise awareness of potential issues with your home insurance. Please consult a qualified insurance provider for further clarification. Secrets of the Thief: Part 3 - How to Protect Your Home
MONTGOMERY COUNTY -- The Dayton-area sees almost four burglaries a day. According to law enforcement., any neighborhood can be the next target. That's why ABC 22/FOX 45 Reporter Liza Danver is Fighting Back to show you how to protect your home and your valuables from the crooks. The big item they're taking is jewelry, play station games, video games and computers. Anything they can sell. The jewelry, they take right to a jewelry shop and sell it. Gold is up right now. They melt it down right away so we never retrieve that jewelry, unfortunately, said Montgomery County Sheriff Phil Plummer. To help Fight Back and keep your family safe, we talk to a former professional burglar about the steps you need to take right now to protect your home. Bob Portenier knows all too well about breaking in. He previously served time for armed robbery.People keep their stuff in the same place from house to house and the burglars know where to find those items. What I recommend is a home safe, he said. You can find a suitable safe at any large hardware store. But Portenier says, don't stash it in the back of a closet. Secure it to the floor, so it can't be picked up. Keep expensive jewelry, important papers and other smaller valuables inside. You put a box over it to camoflage it, then you put a couple boxes over that with like garage sale items, and they'll typically pass it by and not mess with it, Portenier said.Portenier adds, home security systems are always good. The alarm almost always scares away burglars. But don't worry, you don't have to spend a fortune, because the best security can also be your best friend. If they come on your front porch and hear your dog barking, they're going next door, Sheriff Plummer said. I bought me a big 'ole Boxer. I've got a four-legged security system. On the outside of your home, look into motion activated lights. That's what Dana Fox of Dayton did after learning of a series of burglaries in his neighborhood.I put in a lot of lighting, dusk to dawn lighting around my barn and my house. My neighbors have done the same thing. You light up the neighborhood, that really helps, he said.If you want to really slam the door in a burglar's face, reinforce it. Put a Charlie Bar on all sliding glass doors and install deadbolts on doors leading to the outside including the door to your garage. Portenier also has this recommendation: When they bore out a hole for your door knob, there is very little wood to protect it. So you can get a brass wrap around. It's held in place with eight screws. That really beefs this area up as you can see. Just a few simple things you can do to Fight Back against the bad guys. I feel much more safe, and so does my wife, Fox said.Thursday night on FOX 45 News at 10 and ABC 22 News at 11, we follow former burglar Bob Portenier as he breaks into a home and steals everything valuable inside. You won't believe how fast he's able to ransack the place.

Convicted burglars share secrets to protect your home
Do you ever wonder if your home alarm actually keeps thieves away? What about that security sign staked in the front yard? The NBC2 Investigators went on a months-long mission to find out what makes a home a good target for a thief, sending out 60 questionnaires to convicted burglars in Florida prisons. We asked 16 questions, including how they got into homes, what they stole, what time of day, where they find most valuables and what things deter them from entering a home. Most said they looked for an unlocked or open door or window. The top three answers for what they took were jewelry, money, and weapons. Mornings from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m. are the most popular times to break-in. Answers were split on whether a pet made burglars think twice, but most did say a big, barking dog did make them pause. And almost all of them said they knock on a door before coming into the house. If someone answered the door, the burglars said they would give a variety of excuses. Some of them were: · I’d give a random name and ask if said person was home. · I would dress nice and say I work for a paper and I am asking about crime in the area (The same thing you are doing now only mine is a lie). · I would ask if such and such was home or awake. · Looking for lost pet. · Act like I’m looking for a friend. · Usually a sales pitch for home service. · Is Joe home? · Would you like your yard done? They also said certain things made a home an easy target like easy visibility inside the home, shrubs or hedges to give privacy, a weak door, having children meant the home probably had more electronics, nice cars, and no lights. Here are some of the things they said people could do to avoid being burglarized: · Better locks, better security system · Attack dogs, a dog or dog dish · Stick behind sliding door · Good dead bolt, alarm system · Put an NRA sticker on a main window (no one wants to be shot) · Surveillance system · Night lights

CppCon 2018: Chandler Carruth “Spectre: Secrets, Side-Channels, Sandboxes, and Security”
http://CppCon.org — Presentation Slides, PDFs, Source Code and other presenter materials are available at: https://github.com/CppCon/CppCon2018 — The discovery of speculative execution side-channel attacks (called "Spectre") fundamentally changes the security model of every modern superscalar microprocessor. Extracting secret data (credit cards, cryptographic keys) through side-channels is not new and has challenged the cryptographic community for decades. Despite this, the industry has often been complacent in our response, viewing these attacks as impacting a tiny amount of code and being nearly impossible to weaponize. But speculative execution attack techniques have fundamentally altered the ease and applicability of side-channels, making them a serious threat to computer security. Responding to these issues has impacted CPU design, compiler design, library design, sandbox techniques and even the C++ programming language and standard. This talk will explain how these kinds of attacks work at a high level and provide a clear set of terminology to describe these classes of vulnerabilities and attacks. It will show how the different variants work at the low level of modern hardware to give a detailed and precise understanding of the mechanics involved on CPUs today. It will also provide guidance about what makes applications and services vulnerable and how to analyze your software to understand the degree of its exposure. It will include an overview of the numerous different mitigation techniques available, how to deploy them, and what tradeoffs come with them. Some of these mitigations will be covered in detail: how they work at a hardware level, where they don't work, and what attack vectors remain. Finally, the talk will show how traditional side-channel risks are made substantially easier to exploit due to speculative execution. This will cover how cryptographic and other libraries dealing in high-value secrets need to be adapted to correctly defend against these attacks. Further, it will introduce general problems of sandboxing untrusted code from secret data and the current best techniques in those circumstances. This talk will be accessible to most C and C++ programmers. No deep background on CPUs, assembly, hardware instructions, Spectre, side-channels, or security is needed. — Chandler Carruth, Google Software Engineer Chandler Carruth leads the Clang team at Google, building better diagnostics, tools, and more. Previously, he worked on several pieces of Google’s distributed build system. He makes guest appearances helping to maintain a few core C++ libraries across Google’s codebase, and is active in the LLVM and Clang open source communities. He received his M.S. and B.S. in Computer Science from Wake Forest University, but disavows all knowledge of the contents of his Master’s thesis. He is regularly found drinking Cherry Coke Zero in the daytime and pontificating over a single malt scotch in the evening. — Videos Filmed & Edited by Bash Films: http://www.BashFilms.com

Unbelievable Secrets of Air Force One
It can take an impressive trip from Washington DC all the way to tokyo with just one tank of gas. The head of state can making it across the world, flying in style, making other countries envious in its path. You’ll never believe the ways the president is pimpin’ out his person plane and it can survive an apocalypse if it has to. From various firepower being kept on board to decoys used to confuse possible enemies, here are unbelievable secrets of Air Force One. Subscribe to American Eye http://goo.gl/GBphkv 12. Nuclear Resistance The government has taken special precautions in case of a full-blown nuclear apocalypse and air force one would prove to be a formidable stronghold. In the event that this were ever to happen the plane’s body is built to withstand a nuke detonated from the ground. Thanks to armor plating, as long as the president is not too close to the actual blast, radiation exposure wouldn’t be able to seep through by any means. 11. Dimensions So there are some notable differences between commercial boeing 747’s and the ones the president uses. The weight difference is about a total of 154,000 pounds, weighing in at 987,000 pounds. which means you know there’s some heavy cargo on there. The difference between the normal wingspan and the presidential wingspan is about 29 feet with the presidential version stretching longer, measuring at 224 feet and 5 inches. In addition, it’s also longer measure from the nose to rear at 250 feet and 2 inches making it also the longest commercial jet in the world. Let’s see the chinese try to beat that! 10. Ecofriendly The president just can’t go around every country he wants to and spew a bunch of toxic pollution into the air just because he’s the president, can he? In any case, we at least tell other countries that our presidential jumbo jet is completely eco friendly and emits 16 tons less co2 per trip over the typical 747-200. That would require about 13 acres of american national park forests to purify that much each year. 9. Let’s make Air Force One Great Again There have been some ideas to make air force one look just a little bit more american with a new cool patriotic paint job, complete with stars, stripes, bald eagles and all that good stuff. The ceo of america would also prefer that the beds be a little bit more comfortable like the ones in his personal jet. The new air force one with these upgrades will likely be ready in 2021 and cost about 4 billion dollars. Others still think his dream jet likely won’t happen. 8. Bootlegging Sometimes presidents won’t want to go anywhere without the right fresh beer on board. A long time ago, Coors wasn’t available for sale on the eastern side of the US states and that was Gerald ford’s favorite beer. In order to make sure he was able to get a little drunk on a plane, he would continually request his secret service members to bring some with him. Each time they went to colorado, they would stock up on coors before going anywhere.

Minecraft is an online virtual playground and workshop, where kids of all ages can safely interact, create, have fun, and learn. It’s unique in that practically everything on Minecraft is designed and constructed by members of the community. Minecraft is designed for 8 to 18 year old, but it is open to people of all ages. Each player starts by choosing an avatar and giving it an identity. They can then explore Minecraft — interacting with others by chatting, playing games, or collaborating on creative projects. Each player is also given their own piece of undeveloped real estate along with a virtual toolbox with which to design and build anything — be it a navigable skyscraper, a working helicopter, a giant pinball machine, a multiplayer “Capture the Flag” game or some other, yet to be dreamed-up creation. There is no cost for this first plot of virtual land. By participating and by building cool stuff, Minecraft members can earn speciality badges as well as Minecraft dollars (“Minecraft”). In turn, they can shop the online catalogue to purchase avatar clothing and accessories as well as premium building materials, interactive components, and working mechanisms.
Listening Post - The Snowden saga: Spies, secrets and security
A look back at the biggest media story of 2013 - Edward Snowden and the NSA surveillance programme. Talking us through this story are three journalists who know the story better than most: James Bamford, author of The Shadow Factory, who has been described by the New Yorker as "the NSA's chief chronicler"; William Arkin, who has been tracking the expansion of the security state in his Top Secret America project; and Holger Stark, a senior correspondent for Der Spiegel, who has collaborated with Greenwald on stories with international implications. Media lawyer, Lynn Oberlander and Amie Stepanovich from the Electronic Privacy Information Center give us further insight. The second half of the programme is dedicated to an interview with one of the leading defenders of government surveillance, former NSA general counsel, Stewart Baker.

Mississippi reveals dark secrets of a racist time...This graphic yet inspiring video depicts how Mississippi's government funded the "White Citizens' Council" of the Mississippi State Sovereignty Commission whose goal was to maintain segregation between whites and blacks at any cost. This organization upheld Malcolm X's, philosophy "by any means necessary" to achieve their goals, long before the civil rights' activist came on the scene. The murders of Medgar Evers, NAACP leader; Andrew Goodman, Michael Schwerner and James Chaney. Civil Rights workers; Vernon Dahmer , voting rights advocate; and the attempted association of Dr. J. Horace Germany, founding president of Bay Ridge Christian College, were a testament to the belief held by people of color, especially Native, Hispanic and African Americans of the necessity of Home Land Security. These Americans have been fighting against domestic terrorism since 1492 due in large part to the mentality of the Ku Klux Klan and others in the larger society who advocate for a "white America only" and perpetuate the notion that their crimes against humanity should continue to go unabated, even today. Whatever the injustice, i.e., the Travon Martins being killed by self-proclaimed vigilantes; or a system that promotes the use of automatic assault rifles and hand guns that subsequently play a role in the killing of innocent children and youth in suburban communities in Connecticut or in urban communities such as Chicago, we need to choose to be part of the solution. Fredrick Douglas recommends three success strategies, "agitate, agitate, and agitate! There is no progress without struggle." A call to community service, especially the ministry should compel social activism as model by those who endured injustice of unimaginable cruelty sponsored by the very government who duty it is to protect them.
