10 tips for highly sensitive men - male HSP
10 tips for highly sensitive men - male HSP Here's my course to deal with high-sensitivity: https://www.udemy.com/highly-sensitive-persons-how-to-deal-with-your-sensitivity/?couponCode=YOUTUBECODE Book: 100 tips for a high-sensitive’s home: http://amzn.to/2rkhiuj print: http://amzn.to/2ssC8uQ HSPs is short for Highly Sensitive Person. Highly sensitive persons are persons that are more sensitive to a stimulus than other person. Some call 'too' sensitive people over sensitive, but there's not much someone can do about being overly sensitive. This channel is dedicated to share tips for any HSP, or anyone who asks 'am I too sensitive?'. Feel free to comment! In many cultures, men are supposed to be bold, decisive and not be 'hindered' by their emotions. This would be the definition of being strong, according to many persons' convictions. Which is exactly the opposite of what highly sensitive men need. Highly Sensitive Men - often mistaken (c) Another consequence of cultural clichés is that women are allowed to show their negative emotions. Women, as it is believed, are more emotional, so they're allowed to be overwhelmed. But it's not acceptable for men to do the same. Even though there are as many HSP men as HSP women. Nowadays, women are also more allowed to be 'strong.' Meaning dominant, leading and competitive. However, it doesn't go the other way for men, who are discouraged to be 'weak'. Which leads to receiving comments like 'toughen up', 'don't be a pussy', or 'be a man.' On top of all the misconceptions that already exist about highly sensitive persons. Highly sensitive men are also often mistaken for homosexuals, due to the need of others to explain their emotional side. And that emotional side, it is believed, should be cured. Which doesn't exist. Cultures don't easily change. Changing a culture cannot be done by an individual. But individuals can change themselves. So it is very important that HSP men accept themselves and the unique features that go with being highly sensitive. There is no 'cure' for sensitivity. If one sees it as a gift, it's the first way to accept oneself. Instead of focusing on being strong in the way society might see you, HSP men should focus on becoming emotionally strong. Expressing their emotions at the right time, in the right way. Not hiding them. And using the talents they are given. 8 Signs You’re a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP)
A highly sensitive person or HSP is someone who feels more deeply about things. They may cry more easily, prefer alone time to recharge, and display higher empathy. In fact, the personality trait was first researched by Dr. Elaine N. Aron in 1991. All of her important findings have been published in various articles and in her book The Highly Sensitive Person. http://amzn.to/2DZh4yW Understand more about HSP? Why I'm done trying to be "man enough" | Justin Baldoni
Justin Baldoni wants to start a dialogue with men about redefining masculinity -- to figure out ways to be not just good men but good humans. In a warm, personal talk, he shares his effort to reconcile who he is with who the world tells him a man should be. And he has a challenge for men: "See if you can use the same qualities that you feel make you a man to go deeper," he says. "Your strength, your bravery, your toughness: Are you brave enough to be vulnerable? Are you strong enough to be sensitive? Are you confident enough to listen to the women in your life?" 3 Ways to Deal with Being Overly Sensitive
More Psych2Go here: http://youtube.com/psych2go More Donna: https://www.youtube.com/user/DesigningDonna Article: http://www.psych2go.net/3-ways-to-deal-with-being-overly-sensitive/ Contact us: Website: http://psych2go.net Twitter: http://twitter.com/psych2go Facebook: http://facebook.com/psych2go Tumblr: http://psych2go.me Being over sensitive is really no fun at all. I know this because I am an extremely sensitive person. People who are emotionally sensitive are often referred to as highly sensitive people or HSPs. While sensitivity is linked to creativity and empathy (Ward, 2011), being overly sensitive can sometimes be burdening, especially in a school or work environment. When you’re oversensitive, you tend to see everything through a different lens. You may take criticisms as personal attacks. I know this feeling all too well and sometimes feel like bursting into tears when someone is even a little harsh with me. While I’m certainly not suggesting that this is some kind of illness or that it needs a “cure,” I know how hard to deal with emotional sensitivity. Many people even find it to be a gift, and in certain situations it can be, especially when empathy is required. However, it can also be overwhelming. I’m not necessarily with those people who think you can build a thicker skin or change yourself so easily, but these are a few simple steps that may be prove helpful.

15 Things You Should Know If You Love A Highly Sensitive Person
Here are the things you should know if you love a highly sensitive person! Because loving highly sensitive people is not an average experience. HSP’s need to be loved differently than others. There are many things you have to take into consideration when in a relationship with someone of this nature. Understanding highly sensitive people will help you communicate with them more effectively, and strengthen your relationship as well. These people are so highly attuned with their nervous system, that they feel emotions in a very real and complex way. They love differently than others do, putting their heart and soul into every gesture, word, and action… And this can take a little getting used to! Being sensitive usually means being more intelligent than the average person, therefore, they have a hard time with decisions. They just have more analytical minds. Therefore, it’s best not to rush or pressure them into doing something, until they’ve thought it through completely. That being said, when an HSP makes a mistake or realizes they have done something wrong, they are the first ones to call themselves out on it. They truly do feel bad about their actions. And even though they are sympathetic towards others, they are their own worst critic, and aim for perfection in all that they do. Because of this, they tend to put a lot of pressure on themselves. Highly sensitive people are very observant, and they pick up nonverbal communication and individual vibes with ease. Loving a highly sensitive and empathic person means they will call you out on your feelings and thoughts. You won't be able to keep secrets from them. They can sense things going on deep beneath the surface, and they don’t like to play games. They need transparency and trust in a relationship to make it work. On the downside of being sensitive lies the inability to get over things easily. If you break up with a highly sensitive person, you will likely experience more drama than with others. While loving a highly sensitive person might be complicated, they hold some wonderful characteristics that will make having them in your life a truly unique experience. Why some women prefer sensitive men
Reminder: there is a difference between being "sensitive," and being "ultra-sensitive." NOTE: The imagery of men crying is to place emphasis on the emotion we deem most sensitive. In many societies, expressing sadness is considered being "sensitive." Although being in-tuned with your emotional needs does not always translate into tearing up.

6 signs you are a highly sensitive person
Have you ever been told that you are too sensitive of a person, or too emotional? When you were little, did you cry a lot? Were you shy? It just might be that you are a highly sensitive person that has a sensitive soul. Today we will explore six signs that you fit into this category. This is not something that you should be ashamed of and you should understand that having a highly sensitive soul means that you feel very deeply, have a big heart and appreciate the beauty in the world. 1. You Are Intuitive You find that you get a feeling in your gut that tells you if something is wrong or right, and you will find that you are often correct. You can feel the mood of a room when you enter it. You can just tell if something is wrong with a person and often times you know how they are feeling before they've even had the chance to tell you. 2. You Feel Negativity Strongly You have a very difficult time dealing with any type of  negative emotions, such as anger, raised voices, or conflicts. These emotions can make you feel physically ill. You also find yourself avoiding negativity in the media, such as the news, violent movies, or television shows because you cannot tolerate the violence. 3. You Are Sensitive to Environmental Stimuli You may feel overwhelmed by bright lights, large crowds, strong smells or rough fabrics. You may also feel out of sorts if you have too much on your schedule at once. You may find yourself avoiding commitments that are in overly stimulating situations. 4. You Are Frequently Fatigued Since you feel so deeply and you are constantly feeling  the emotions of others, you will feel worn out and tired. You can feel emotionally drained and can even receive  the medical diagnosis of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. 5. People Tell You People will often comment that someone is being too sensitive in a situation. They may tell you that you wear your heart on your sleeve. However, you will also hear that you are the best listener and they will tell you things that they wouldn’t normally tell others because they know that you will genuinely care and listen to them. 6. You Are Highly Imaginative and Have an Active Inner Life You are very creative, loving and have a strong imagination. You have a desire of the arts, where you can use them as a way to release your creativity. You may feel close to animals and get pets to keep yourself company. Sometimes, you’d rather be around pets than humans. You may find yourself day dreaming throughout the day. Do you have any of these unique characteristics? Have you ever been told that you are too sensitive? Please continue this discussion in our comment section.

How to Stop Being Too Sensitive - Be Good with Women
Brian answers a viewer question about how to stop being too sensitive and get good with women. A couple of the things Brian goes over in the video: -If you tend to be too sensitive or people tell you things like "you're so sensitive," you probably have some "nice guy syndrome," or codependency issues. "No More Mr Nice Guy" by Dr. Robert Glover is a must-read for you. -You need to develop a sense of indifference to outcome so you're not so reactive (and sensitive) to people's behaviors, women especially. --To do this, practice grounding techniques. Daily for 30 minutes to an hour, like exercise. In no time, you'll see people beginning to respond to you differently and you'll be less reactive (sensitive) to them. What causes sensitive male genitals? - Dr. Sanjay Panicker
The most common causes for the sensitivity of the male genitals is an injury to the genital region. It can be a physical injury or a chemical injury. Chemical injury because of some application over the genitals, it can cause and it can be because of certain infections which can cause HPV infections, warts, prostatitis can also cause infection of the genitals. Spasm of the pelvic muscles can also cause sensitivity of the genitals. Also any injury to the sacral region, the cauda equina, the nerves which are coming from the tail part of the spinal cord, which reaches the genitals can also cause sensitivity of the genital region. The treatment for reducing the sensitivity of the genitals areas is to treat the cause. If there is any injury, treat the injury and if there is any infection, then treat the infection, likewise and another most important reason is that why there can be sensitivity of the genital region. Another most import reason why there can be sensitiveness of the genital region is because of phymosis. Phymosis is a condition where the opening of the foreskin over the penis is narrowed and so it is difficult to retract the penis and so the possible retraction of the foreskin over the penis can cause sensitiveness of the male genitals.

The Highly Sensitive Man (Part 1)
There is a cultural expectation that women are more emotional and sensitive than men and that men should be tough and stoic. This expectation could clash with the traits of being an HSP, for men. For this show, I asked several highly sensitive men for their stories and opinions. Even though I intended this to be about males, much of information can apply to all HSPs. In this Part 1, I talk about the challenges of being a male HSP. In Part 2, I talk about how to deal with those challenges as well as the positives of being a male HSP. Can A Man Be Strong and Sensitive?
Carlos Andres Gomez talks about what it took for him to walk away from stereotypical definitions of masculinity. From The Testosterone Project. Susie Arnett speaks to CARLOS ANDRES GOMEZ for The Testosterone Project Susie Arnett writes: "Part of this journey for me has been to find out how we as women can support our men in being fully empowered. In my research, I found things like the Mankind Project and Wildman University, where men are picking up the torch that Robert Bly and Sam Keen lit in the 80’s. Although they don’t always show it or talk about it especially with us women, lots of guys are just as confused as we are and are sincerely looking for answers and a more empowered way of showing up. This was heartening because the next generation is looking to us for models of how to be. Carlos Andres Gomez, spoken word poet and author of Man Up, really fought for his masculinity in a world that couldn’t recognize his unique version of it. As a kid, he was constantly shamed for being too sensitive and he shared what he wished he’d heard and what we should be saying to the young boys—and girls—in our lives." Are you too sensitive? Should you change? | Marwa Azab | TEDxOakland
In a culture that is fast-based, overwhelming and impersonal, sensitivity can be confused with weakness. Dr. Azab clears up this confusion and offers hope for the 20% who are highly sensitive and the remaining 80% who share the world with them. She takes you inside the mind of sensitive people by clarifying how their nervous systems might work differently than others. She also convincingly answers the following questions: does high sensitivity predispose sensitive people to psychological problems? Are there any positive qualities related to this trait? And how to make the most out of high sensitivity? Marwa Azab, Ph.D., is an adjunct professor of psychology and human development at California State University, Long Beach. She studied psychology for many years and completed a masters in counseling from Toronto, Canada and her Ph.D. in neuroscience from University of California, Irvine, where she taught in the biology department. She has given three TEDx talks, including “The Logical Vs. The Reflexive Brain: Only One Wins” & "5 Ways Negative People Can Harm Us" This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Too Sensitive? (Or feel that others are...?) - EFT with Brad Yates
If you are new to tapping, please watch this video so you understand what it is about: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JiD72cZ5mcU So that I can make these videos available, I need to state that you must take responsibility for your own well-being if you choose to tap along. While I'm confident that tapping along with this video can provide great benefits, I make no claims as to what, if any, benefits you will receive. While EFT has yielded impressive results in treating physical and psychological issues, not everyone will benefit in the same way. I am not a doctor, and the information presented here is not intended to replace appropriate treatment by a physician or mental health professional. EFT is still in the experimental stage and, while a growing number of PhD's and MD's are adopting it, we cannot claim that it is risk free. I am unaware of anyone experiencing negative side effects from using these videos, but different people require different care, and depending on a number of variables, it is possible you could uncover deeper issues within the process that this video is not able to address. It is recommended that you consult a qualified health practitioner prior to using this technique. That being said, I hope you will enjoy this video and find it beneficial, and that you will share it with others. This is certainly not intended to be a comprehensive handling of the subject -- I can only cover so much in 5-10 minutes...! I'm also not working with you personally to address specific individual issues. Hopefully, though, it will help you address the issue enough that you can experience greater freedom to live the life you really desire and deserve. For further support, I encourage you to check out the other offerings available from myself and other EFT practitioners, including workshops and private sessions. For more information about tapping, as well as a ton of great resources to help you live your best life possible, please visit: http://www.bradyates.net This is only my way of using the process, rather than what might be called official EFT. If you enjoyed this video, please subscribe to my videos and share them with others. I hope you will also sign up for my free monthly newsletter "Success Beyond Belief" - only one issue a month, filled with good stuff for your body, mind and spirit. Life as a Highly Sensitive Person
Today I want to share with you everything about my life as a highly sensitive person. From what it is, to what helps me in my daily life, to how I deal with society and how I make the best out of what I now consider to be an amazing gift. Before I start it is important for me to say that I am not a professional and that this video is based on my personal life experience. Some facts are from Dr. Elaine Arons book: The Highly Sensitive Person, that also coined this term. Only 15-20% of the population can be categorized as highly sensitive people. HSP tend to have increased sensitivity to stimulation, like big crowds, bright lights, loud noises and aggressive commercials. They tend to notice subtleties and experience life in a deeper more reflective way. It's like seeing the picture in high definition, but not only the physical things but also other people's emotions, energies, and complex unspoken situations. This can lead to HSP being easily overwhelmed and tired. HSP have a rich inner life and tend to be more introverted, shy and quiet. Yet that is not always the case, for example, as a child I was very outgoing and even overconfident - I felt that is what society expected from me. But as the years went by and I did not pay attention to my emotions, I pushed myself too hard to be perfect all the time and developed anxiety and clinical depression, something I have dealt with for years. Life as a HSP can be hard especially is you are not aware of your sensitivity, but there are also many benefits: Like being very emphatic and compassionate, being moved deeply by music, art, and nature, the ability to have a deep connection with yourself and others and experiencing life in a very spiritual way (Of course all of these qualities are not restricted only for HSP!). Here are a couple things that help me to live as a highly sensitive person: 1. First of all and this is the most important thing there is: understand that being highly sensitive is a real thing, in Dr. Arons book she shares many studies done on many different species, that show that this in a tendency that you are born with. Learn to accept it, and to respect yourself as you are. 2. Alone time - this is a big one. Most HSP need time alone to unwind. No matter what your living situation is, try creating a space that recharges you. 3. HSP are very much affected by the condition of their body, mind, and involvement, being overwhelmed easily by hunger, tiredness, stress and stimulation. So I am here to give you the official ok to be EXTRA with your self-care! Carry water and food with you, make sleep a priority and of course find time to just relax. 4. Plan ahead and try to making situations that might be hard for you - easier. It's perfectly fine to take things easy! 5. Learn to say no - it's ok not to do everything everyone does. At first, you might feel like a downer, but trust me once you feel well rested you will enjoy your time with people much more. 6. Let the people in your life know, I personally gave this book to many of my friends and talked about it with my family. Something that's important to note here is that there is a fine balance between being a hermit and getting out there. Many HSP hardly leave the house and I must say I am guilty of that myself! I work from home and I can stay here for a week straight without even noticing, that's why I consciously pay attention to situations where I need to push myself and get out of my comfort zone. It's a learning curve and even if you get to a point of physical exhaustion or feeling emotionally drained, remember: this too shall pass. It takes time to find your personal balance, what people are right for you and what situations, flexibility is key. These days I see my high sensitivity as a true gift. Being emphatic, noticing fine details and experiencing extreme emotions have become what I have to give to the world instead of a burden. I see my emotions as my inner guides, a way to learn what is right for me and what is wrong, and hot to build a life out of my heart. We might be a minority, but the gentle ways of the highly sensitive person are much needed, as they serve as a bridge to communicate the many things in life that cannot be explained, but only felt. ‣ Take the highly sensitive person test here: http://bit.ly/1EAV2An ‣ Sign up here and get a free audiobook: http://www.audibletrial.com/Shir ‣ The Highly Sensitive Person audio book: http://adbl.co/2hEWmco ‣ Highly Sensitive People Q&A: http://bit.ly/2kXxb7G (Socal anxiety, relationships, mindfulness and much more!) ‣ New video! Highly sensitive persons are persons that are more sensitive to a stimulus than other person. 11 Astonishing Traits Of A Highly Sensitive Person
11 Astonishing Traits Of a Highly Sensitive Person Do you find noisy environment chaotic and grow uncomfortable in such places? Are you indecisive and need more time making decisions than others? Have you ever been told that you take things too personally? If any of this sounds familiar, you might be a highly sensitive person. This personality trait is quite common, affecting one in five people. But, despite the fact that 15-20% of the population is highly sensitive, these people are considered a minority. Being a highly sensitive person means you have a number of amazingly positive qualities and habits. While you might not feel that these traits are awesome, they really are. 1. They are deeply intuitive One of the most exceptional characteristics of highly sensitive individuals is their ability to feel a lot more depth compared to non-sensitive people. They also tend to dig into subjects or engage in conversations more than others. According to , Ted Zeff Ph.D., author of ‘The Highly Sensitive Person’s Survival Guide’, “They’re very intuitive, and go very deep inside to try to figure things out.” 2. Their emotional reactions are amplified Sensitive people tend to conduct themselves much more compassionately and act with much more concern for the emotions of others. 3. They are familiar with being called overly sensitive and asked why they take things so personally Dr. Ted Zeff found that men from India and Thailand were less likely to be teased for being sensitive, unlike those from North America who were often mocked. In some cultures the same person who is being laughed at for being too sensitive is considered as asset. 4.
