Steve Jobs' amazing marketing strategy - MUST WATCH

This is a very complicated world. It’s a very noisy world. And we’re not going to get a chance to get people to remember much about us. No company is! And so, we have to be really clear on what we want them to know about us. Now Apple, fortunately, is one of half-a-dozen best brands in the whole world. Right up there with Nike, Disney, Coke, Sony — it is one of the greats of the greats. Not just in this country, but all around the globe. But even a great brand needs investment and caring if it’s going to retain its relevance and vitality. And the Apple brand has clearly suffered from neglect in this area in the last few years. And we need to bring it back! The way to do that is NOT to talk about speeds and fees. It’s NOT to talk about bits and mega-hertz. It’s NOT to talk about why we are better than Windows. The dairy industry tried for 20 years to convince you that milk was good for you. It’s a lie, but they tried anyway. And the sales were falling. And then they tried “Got milk” and the sales went up. “Got milk” wasn’t even talking about the product. In fact, it focuses on the absence of the product. But the best example of all, and one of the greatest jobs of marketing that the universe has ever seen, is Nike. Remember, Nike sells a commodity. They sell shoes!!! And yet, when you think of Nike you feel something different than a shoe company. In their ads, as you know, they don’t ever talk about the product. They don’t ever tell you about their air soles and why they are better than Reebok’s air soles. What does Nike do in their advertising? They honor great athletes. And they honor great athletics. That’s who they are, that’s what they are about! Apple spends a fortune on advertising — you’d never know it….you’d never know it! So…when I got here, Apple just fired their agency and there was a competition with 23 agencies that…you know…four years from now we would pick one. And we blew that up and we hired Chiat\Day, the ad agency that I was fortunate enough to work with years ago and created some award winning work including the commercial voted the best ad ever made, 1984 (by Advertising Professionals). And…we started working about eight weeks ago, and the question we asked was, “Our customers want to know who is Apple and what is it that we stand for…where do we fit in this world?” And what we’re about isn’t making boxes for people to get their jobs done — although we do that well. We do that better than almost anybody, in some cases. But Apple is about something more than that! Apple at the core…its core value — is that, we believe that people with passion can change the world for the better. That’s what we believe! And we have had the opportunity to work with people like that. We’ve had the opportunity to work with people like you; with software developers, with customers, who have done it. In some big, and some small ways. And we believe that, in this world, people can change it for the better. And that those people who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world are the ones that actually do! And so, what we’re going to do in our first brand marketing campaign in several years, is to get back to that core value! A lot of things have changed. The market is in a total different place than where it was a decade ago. And Apple is totally different — and Apple’s place in it is totally different. And believe me, the products, and the distribution strategy, and the manufacturing are totally different…and we understand that. But values and core values — those things shouldn’t change. The things that Apple believed in at its core, are the same things Apple really stands for today. Difference Between Corporate Identity and Branding

07:33
Corporate Identity and Branding are two concepts in marketing and identifying the difference between them is quite complex as both concepts are interconnected. However, we can distinguish them from certain parameters on the grounds of perception. The internal perception and external perception (customer view) provide clues to differentiate between these two marketing concepts. The key difference between corporate identity and branding is that corporate identity has an internal viewpoint while branding has an external viewpoint. Nowadays, many organizations spend on corporate identity to boost their branding. This includes non-governmental organizations too. Each firm might have its own specialty and should focus to highlight their strength as their appearance. This will help in a better customer perception. For example, Volvo had its specialty in heavy vehicles since their establishment in 1928. They translated this strength in making safer more durable cars which earned them a name as the safest vehicle in a customer viewpoint. With this brief, we will delve deeper into each concept. What is Corporate Identity? Corporate identity is associated with the look and feel of a business. This is an internal factor that exhibits the business to the outer world. Corporate identity can be defined as the overall image of a business entity in the minds of the diverse public, such as customers, investors, and employees. Usually, firms associate the corporate identity with branding of their products or services using trademarks. Corporate identity is often represented by a logo or a picture. For example, Volkswagen uses a circle with letters V and W. Pepsi uses a circle with three colors of red, white and blue. These logos help stakeholders to identify the company instantly. Corporate identity should possess the characteristics of being unique, easily distinguishable from the identity of other businesses, focus on product and reflecting the vision of the firm. Corporate identity is a philosophy, where the customer believes that they have its ownership as they combine attributes with corporate identity to make different perceptions. Corporate identity helps organizations to reflect their introduction and focus more easily. For example, if you see a curved red color “m”, you immediately associate it with a burger outlet run by McDonalds. Corporate identity has explicit guidelines associated with them. These guidelines govern how the identity is applied. Few examples are color palettes, typefaces and page layouts. difference between corporate identity and branding Logo of Volkswagen What is Branding? While corporate identity is all about the look and feel of a business, branding is related to emotion, trust, and reliability in the mindset of customers. Branding is all about how people feel and think about the company or simply how they perceive the organization. Branding can evoke various emotions such as confidence, trust, happiness, anger, etc. This is because of the experience associated with the organization. The corporate identity plays a role in deciding the reaction of the perceives, as corporate identity is associated with the firm to the customer experience. Branding can be defined as the external perception of stakeholders of the firm in relation to their experience with the given firm. The brand is a collective perception of various factors. The lived experience of the brand is very important. Further, advertising campaigns can play a crucial part in making the customers believe in the contents of the message which reflects the brand. If the promise can be delivered in the first interaction, the brand will have a positive effect. Branding ultimately determines whether a customer becomes loyal to a firm due to the experience – perception factor. For example, BMW can be your first car, but it is the brand (experience) that will decide whether it will be your life long choice. Key Difference Corporate identity vs. branding What is the difference between Corporate Identity and Branding? As we have a general understanding of the concepts of corporate identity and branding, let’s shift our focus towards the differences between them. Definition of Corporate Identity and Branding Corporate Identity: Corporate identity can be defined as “the overall image of a business entity in the minds of the diverse public, such as customers, investors, and employees”. Branding: Branding can be defined as “the external perception of stakeholders of the firm in relation to their experience with the given firm”. 82 Hilarious Funny & Fake Products From China

06:56
82 Hilarious Funny & Fake Products From China To listen to some nice music and relax, you can visit our friendly channel "TRG": https://goo.gl/Hry5Ut Wikipedia.org: To counterfeit means to imitate something. Counterfeit products are fake replicas of the real product. Counterfeit products are often produced with the intent to take advantage of the superior value of the imitated product. The word counterfeit frequently describes both the forgeries of currency and documents, as well as the imitations of clothing, handbags, shoes, pharmaceuticals, aviation and automobile parts, watches, electronics (both parts and finished products), software, works of art, toys, movies.[1] Counterfeit products tend to have fake company logos and brands. In the case of goods, it results in patent infringement or trademark infringement. Counterfeit consumer products have a reputation for being lower quality (sometimes not working at all) and may even include toxic elements. This has resulted in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people, due to automobile and aviation accidents, poisoning, or ceasing to take essential compounds (e.g. in the case a person takes non-working medicine).[2] The counterfeiting of money is usually attacked aggressively by governments worldwide. The counterfeiting of goods is condoned by some governments. Counterfeit paper money is the most popular product counterfeited. Theverybesttop10.com: Each and every year firms spend millions on brand identity only to spend twice as much in courtrooms up and down the land fighting brand theft, and imitation! Sad news indeed for the company’s that have to pay it, but for us consumers it does lead to some rather funny discovery’s when we are out shopping. So I have decided to bring you just ten of what I think is the very best examples of brand identity theft…. “Only Future Coke will do when you’re thirstiest! …not now, but in the future!” TIP: They say a change is as good as a rest, but when it comes to product and indeed company re-branding little is very much more, little changes over the course of a few years will have a much lesser impact than a sudden product change. Sadly the truth is that people don’t like changes, but little changes might well go un-noticed. “Let’s Build! ..using bricks, plastic ones, but not the official kind.” TIP: When it comes to brand identity always try and do something every now and again that is a surprise! Maybe a crazy, un-related giveaway or a unique competition idea. Next week we take a look at the new Sqny Peestation! TIP: Have you ever seen those design concepts that phone company’s, car manufactures seem to accidentally let slip? Well that is no accident at all, in fact it is a great way of judging how people might react to the real and indeed finished brand design.

Brands That FAILED

11:32
We live in a day and age where the digital world is moving so fast that companies have to keep up with the changes or they will struggle. 88% of Fortune 500 firms that were around in 1955 are all gone, and when you hear of big companies going down today due to their lack of “keeping up with the times” it does surprise you. Today we look at some of the big brands that failed due to a variety of reasons, which we will explore more closely. Subscribe to Talltanic http://goo.gl/wgfvrr 7 - Compaq… They began trading in 1982 and quickly became one of the largest sellers of PC’s in the world throughout the 80’s and 90’s. The company had a number of firsts including the first to produce IBM PC compatible computers. When Dell was up and running and doing well, Compaq really battled to keep their prices competitive with Dell and was eventually bought by HP in 2002 for $25 billion. HP used the brand name for their lower-end systems until 2013 when they finally put the brand to rest. 6 - DeLorean… This whole situation is a great example of what not to do when you open what could be a successful brand and business. John DeLorean was the founder of DeLorean Motor Company which produced the DMC-12. You may recognize the vehicle from the movie Back to the Future. When his company tried to produce these vehicles their quality was poor, they were unaffordable and bring in a scandal and you’re left with a brand that collapses within 7-years. 5 - General Motors… For over 100-years, General Motors were top of their game and for many, the demise of this iconic brand was a shock. At one point, GM had 202,000 people employed with them. In 2009 they sold 6.5 million cars and trucks globally. According to the experts, GM failed to do a few important things like innovate, improve the quality of their products, ignored the competition and spent nothing on new technologies. The US government spent a fortune bailing this company out, and in 2009 they purchased most of the assets of the old GM and changed the brand to General Motors Company. 4 - Kodak… The name Kodak is still familiar in many countries around the world, but they’re a smidgen of what they were a long time ago and what they could have been today. The company began trading in 1889 and were the world’s biggest film company once upon a time. The decision makers were really apprehensive about the digital revolution that they missed out on many opportunities to grow their company. Kodak invested billions into the technology of taking images with mobile phones and felt they’d be wasting their time on the digital camera… you could actually feel sorry for them, as they were ahead of their time if you think about it… anyway, Canon saw the gap, grabbed it and have now outlived Kodak. Kodak also missed out on another opportunity when they acquired a photo sharing site called Ofoto. They tried to use the site to get people to print their digital images, although many believe it could have been the predecessor of Instagram. They filed for bankruptcy in 2012. 3 - On the cards… Hotmail was founded in 1996 and was one of the very first webmail services. Microsoft purchased Hotmail in 1997 for $400 million and renamed it MSN Hotmail. It’s had a few name changes since then and was finally called Outlook.com in 2013. Microsoft is slowly doing away with Hotmail and if you’re a Hotmail user, you’ll have noticed the not so subtle changes over the last few years. It’s taken a long time, but its user base was so huge that it took Gmail a number of years to surpass it. They eventually did in 2012. Hotmail as we know it, will not be around for very much longer. 2 - Avon… Avon has been around since 1886 when it was first founded by David H. McConnel. The company sells products in over 100 countries and 88% of their profits come from foreign countries. Since 2014 the company has been struggling with sales dropping drastically. When they hired Sheri McCoy as CEO they had hoped to save $400 million within 3-years. In 2018 they hired a new CEO, Jan Zijderveld. The company has not only struggled with declining sales, but a host of other problems including bribery charges in China. Only time will tell if Avon can pull through all these challenges and once again be a leader in its field. 1...

Nestle's Maggi in India : The Ban and The Bounce-back

18:45
ABSTRACT This case study is meant to introduce the students/participants to the concept of marketing and brand management, along with competitive analysis of a consumer product. This case is presented through a well-known FMCG product i.e. Nestle's Maggi Noodles. It is an interesting study on the unexpected chain of events that made the huge company Nestle stumble, as their famous brand of noodles got into controversy when FSSAI found Monosodium Glutamate and Lead in Maggi. The case revolves around the ban on Maggi and the subsequent response of different consumer groups along with the strategies of competitive firms. It also describes how the parent company Nestle reacted to the ban and the strategies it adopted to regain customer confidence when Maggi was vindicated of all the charges laid on it. This case also throws light on how quickly a product is replaced by its substitutes and how the void is filled. This discussion allows us to understand the reaction of different consumer groups when their trusted product is thrown out of the market, giving us an insight into the mindset of these consumer groups. Each company adopts its own strategy to promote its product, but it should also keep a check on the strategies adopted by its rival firms. This case study also deals with the reaction of these consumer groups when the product makes a come-back, and to see whether it will be able to hold a dominant position in the market,if yes,how long will that take to happen?
What is REBRANDING? What does REBRANDING mean? REBRANDING meaning, definition & explanation

12:51
What is REBRANDING? What does REBRANDING mean? REBRANDING meaning - REBRANDING pronunciation - REBRANDING definition - REBRANDING explanation - How to pronounce REBRANDING? Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. Rebranding is a marketing strategy in which a new name, term, symbol, design, or combination thereof is created for an established brand with the intention of developing a new, differentiated identity in the minds of consumers, investors, competitors, and other stakeholders. Often, this involves radical changes to a brand's logo, name, legal names, image, marketing strategy, and advertising themes. Such changes typically aim to reposition the brand/company, occasionally to distance itself from negative connotations of the previous branding, or to move the brand upmarket; they may also communicate a new message a new board of directors wishes to communicate. Rebranding can be applied to new products, mature products, or even products still in development. The process can occur intentionally through a deliberate change in strategy or occur unintentionally from unplanned, emergent situations, such as a "Chapter 11 corporate restructuring," "union busting," or "bankruptcy." Rebranding can also refer to a change in a company/ corporate brand that may own several sub-brands for products or companies. Rebranding has become something of a fad at the turn of the millennium, with some companies rebranding several times. The rebranding of Philip Morris to Altria was done to help the company shed its negative image. Other rebrandings, such as the British Post Office's attempt to rebrand itself as Consignia, have proved such a failure that millions more had to be spent going back to square one. In a study of 165 cases of rebranding, Muzellec and Lambkin (2006) found that, whether a rebranding follows from corporate strategy (e.g., M&A) or constitutes the actual marketing strategy (change the corporate reputation), it aims at enhancing, regaining, transferring, and/or recreating the corporate brand equity. According to Sinclair (1999:13), business the world over acknowledges the value of brands. “Brands, it seems, alongside ownership of copyright and trademarks, computer software and specialist know-how, are now at the heart of the intangible value investors place on companies.” As such, companies in the 21st century may find it necessary to relook their brand in terms of its relevancy to consumers and the changing marketplace. Successful rebranding projects can yield a brand better off than before. Due to the tremendous impact that renaming and rebranding a company can have, it is critical to take the client through the process with great sensitivity and care. The new company identity and brand should also be launched in a subtle and methodical manner in order to avoid alienating old customers, while aiming to attract new business prospects. There is no magic formula. However, there is a methodical process that involves careful strategy, memorable visuals and personal interactions, all of which must speak in unison for a customer to place full trust and invest their emotions in what is on offer. Marketing develops the awareness and associations in consumer memory so that customers know (and are constantly reminded) which brands best serve their needs. Once in a lead position, it is marketing, consistent product or service quality, sensible pricing and effective distribution that will keep the brand ahead of the pack and provide value to its owners (Sinclair, 1999:15). Corporations often rebrand in order to respond to external and/or internal issues. Firms commonly have rebranding cycles in order to stay current with the times or set themselves ahead of the competition. Companies also utilize rebranding as an effective marketing tool to hide malpractices of the past, thereby shedding negative connotations that could potentially affect profitability. ..

Branding Agency - Find out how bestwebdesignagencies.com evaluates the best Branding Agency. The latest rankings of the best Branding Agency can be seen at: http://branding-agency.bestwebdesignagenciesresearch.com/best-branding-companies http://www.bestwebdesignagenciesresearch.com/rankings Evaluation Criteria for Branding Agency It's important for a company to have a brand name or a name that is recognizable to clients that represents who they are. Developing a branding strategy increases possible revenue and opens the company to more potential clients as it becomes a recognized name in its industry. A branding service isn't just about creating a logo and giving a name to the company, it's about coming up with a strategy towards becoming a recognized company and to get more eyes onto the company through an understanding of the industry. The evaluation criteria set for this section focuses in on the important things a consumer should focus on when looking into hiring a branding firm to produce a powerful branding strategy. Our first evaluation criterion is on the company emphasis or how well the branding firm handles emphasizing the company name and image. Is the vendor able to accomplish what they set out to do for your company. The next evaluation criterion focuses on customer involvement. Does the vendor keep the customer involved in the development of the branding strategy? Does the vendor work to understand the needs of the customer? The third evaluation criterion looks into the speed at which the branding firm is able to provide their finished work to the customer. What types of deadlines are set and was the vendor able to consistently meet or beat deadlines? We evaluate branding firms on how they are able to meet their deadlines while providing an expected level of quality. Our fourth evaluation criterion focuses on the design quality of the physical product. Are logos and any graphic design done for branding purposes professional? Is the design memorable and enhance the image of the client? The final evaluation criterion is on strategy efficiency. How well does the branding strategy work when implemented? General Queries: What type of needs analysis was conducted before work initiated? What type of a ROI were you anticipating, what was achieved and in what time frame? What would be 3 things you would change about your experience? What was your total investment? Rate your overall experience (1-10; 10 being the highest). Project Specific Queries: What type of service were you looking for? How did the service provider improve your branding processes? What types of collateral did they create for you? Did the rebranding effort require a lot of work on your end or did they automate the process for you? How has the branding initiative affected your business?

Build Your Law Firm Brand - the LawyerFamous Method

02:35
The #LawyerFamous Method - DustinSanchezTV - Lawyer Marketing Most attorneys use Google Search Engine Optimization in order to get 1 out of 10 spots on the first page of the search results. What if you could have EVERY spot on the first page of the search results. This is the LAWYERFAMOUS method. Instead of trying to market your services...you begin to popularize your BRAND. Much like Bryan Wilson did with his Texas Law Hawk YouTube videos. His brand became so popular that it changed the search term for "criminal attorney" in Fort Worth, Tx. Now, when someone in Ft. Worth wants to google search for a criminal attorney, they do not search for "ft. worth criminal attorney," where Bryan might be one out of 10 lawyers on page one, no, they instead search for, "Texas Law Hawk" where Bryan is EVERY search result on page one. Check out video number 2 in this series to see how powerful that is.---------- I have been able to replicate this method among attorneys & real estate agents, without making any kind of over the top video (although that makes it happen faster]. Who else is doing this?----- I know in Houston, there are a few other attorneys doing this. If you drive around I-610 or the Beltway 8 in Houston, you will see billboards. One advertises iGotHit.com, and that attorney gets thousands of visits a month for that name brand search term. Now, when someone in Houston gets into a car accident, they don't google search for "houston car accident lawyer," they instead do a google search for "igothit" and only one attorney dominates that entire page of search results. There used to be Billboards on Washington Ave advertising the phrase "DO NOT BLOW," this is Tyler Flood's genius marketing campaign. This campaign was so successful that he literally changed the search traffic for DWI lawyers in Houston. It used to be that people searched "houston dwi lawyer" on Google when they needed a DWI attorney, then those Billboards happened, and people started searching "do not blow" instead. Then he became really synonymous with DWI lawyer in our little city (4th largest in the US) so that instead of searching "dwi attorney" or searching for "do not blow," they just search for "tyler flood" and he is ALL 10 OF THE GOOGLE SEARCH RESULT FOR THAT TERM. This 'do not blow' campaign was so effective...that I copied it...literally stole it from him. It was how I first started experimenting with the #lawyerfamous method. When DWI lawyers from other cities would hire me to put them on page one for "city + dwi lawyer," I would instead rank them for a term similar to "Do not Blow" which I can't reveal because it works to well and has allowed me to piratically print money in the DWI Lawyer space.------- Then Attorney Bryan E. Wilson—the Texas Law Hawk came along with his YouTube videos and it was kind of the last missing piece to the LawyerFamous puzzle. Many of you first found me because you watched me break a plastic surgeon's phone system on Billy Gene's School of G.E.N.E.I.U.S., which I think is probably the first email in his auto responder when you sign up for his email list. How do you completely overload someone's phone system with incoming phone calls? That was basically where I combined the lawyerfamous method with email marketing, Facebook Ads, and SEO. And many people continue to ask why I stopped working with plastic surgeons after that $160,000 day. It was basically because this lawyerfamous method was to scaleable, too easy to just plug a new attorney into my system and go about the business of finding another attorney to plug into the system.---- So why now am I publishing this lawyerfamous method here on FB and Instagram? Basically because even though the method is so freaking effective, you'd kind of have to be a (1) lawyer, (2) Facebook ads expert, (3) video marketing expert, (4) search engine optimization expert, and (5) actually care about your clients expert to be able to pull it off. And there really isn't anyone in the online marketing space that has all 5 of those so if you want to turn your attorney marketing to someone who actually cares about you and actually knows how to use the internet to make money, then hit me up at dustinsancheztv.com/discovery
