Japanese Artist Describe Feelings In Beautiful Illustrations

03:53
A Japanese Artist Draws Feelings Everyone Has Encountered at Least Once But Couldn’t Describe. Very little is known about the Japanese artist who calls himself avogado6. All we know is that he is very fond of chemistry and his profile photo is a portrait of the famous Italian scientist Avogadro. However, boring formulas are nowhere to be found in the works of this mysterious illustrator — only vivid pictures in which human feelings are shown in a very comprehensible manner. Many of these feelings are difficult to describe in words and that’s why the works of this artist are worth taking a look at. After all, how can you draw what you cannot say? Illustrations with deep and hidden meanings, artworks and drawings by Japanese artist that describe feelings you can't describe with words, Illustrations about the effects of depression. Arirang Prime - Ep225C03 Young Japanese potters visit in Boseong to learn how to make Joseon-style ceramics

13:26
Arirang Prime Ep225 Age-old Craft of Boseong Deombeongi Dotted with green tea fields, Boseong is responsible for 40% of all green tea production in Korea. There is a master potter called Song Gi-jin who lives amidst this sea of green tea plants. He upholds the traditional way of making pottery. Pottery is a work of art shaped by clay and water. He uses a traditional kiln that he built himself to handcraft a type of ceramic ware called Boseong deombeongi. A biscuit-fired ceramic bowl is dunked ("deombeong" in Korean) in a mixture of white slip; hence, the name deombeongi. Deombeongi bowls were invented by Joseon-era potters and are a type of Buncheong ware, or grayish-blue slipware. They were mostly made in the Boseong area. Boseong deombeongi has a wide following in Japan, which has a vibrant tea drinking culture. During the Japanese Invasion of Korea, the Japanese took many deombeongi ceramics with them, which they renamed Kohiki-style slipware. Some of these stolen pieces have become national treasures in Japan. Young Japanese potters even visit traditional kilns in Boseong to learn how to make Joseon-style ceramics while Japanese antique collectors covet 16th or 17th century Joseon-era tea bowls. Their love of Boseong deombeongi gives us renewed interested in this ceramic art. Deombeongi slipware was showcased in Beijing, China last November in a pottery exhibition. It was called the East Asia Three Potters Slipware Exhibition. Zhang Runsheng from China, Touri Maruyama from Japan and Song Gi-jin from Korea participated in the exhibition. Each country's unique pottery was on display and showed how Buncheong ware could be elevated to works of art. Amongst the ceramic exhibits, Boseong deombeongi shined the brightest. Visitors saw how practical the pottery was in its simplicity. One Chinese tea master experienced the depth of East Asian philosophy while drinking tea from a deombeongi tea bowl. Master potter Song Gi-jin has this to say... "Deombeongi is not a finished ceramic piece or even well-made. There is a beauty to Joseon bowls that isn't forced or manmade. This kind of beauty does not fade as the years pass by. This permanence is found in Boseong deombeongi." Song Gi-jin has spent over 20 years making Boseong deombeongi and devoted his youth to this craft. For each piece of pottery he makes, he puts in hours of dedication and careful attention to follow the traditional techniques. Boseong deombeongi slipware grows and changes with the person who uses it. That is how, one day, it becomes a bowl containing the secrets of life.

Classic Edo magic, known as tezuma, is the captivating integration of illusion, traditional Japanese acting, musical performance, costumes and stories. Kohtaro Fujiyama, a product of Chiba University's Magic Circle and the eldest son of tezuma legend Shintaro Fujiyama, followed his father onto the professional stage in 2006. The Japanese yosegi art of gluing colored wood and cutting it into thin sheets for decoration

01:00
Instead of using paint, Japanese Yosegi decorations are made out of natural fine grains and textures of wood. First, timbers are cut into rods of desired sections, the rods are then glued together to form a section of geometrical design pattern. The surface is sliced into thin plates of wood, which are glued onto boxes and other handicraft works. This mosaic-like art originated during Japan's Edo Period (17th-19th century) and are still respected all over the world. Japanese Street Fashion - Beni, Harajuku

06:40
Meet Beni, a Japanese high school student with a love of dance and art. On the streets of Harajuku, Beni discovered that fashion helped her to express herself, make new friends, and grow as a person. "Our Streets, My Style" is our original show taking you up close and personal with Japanese street style personalities. Meet the amazing people featured in the daily street snaps Tokyo Fashion has been publishing for over a decade. Beni on Instagram & Twitter https://www.instagram.com/beni9s/ https://twitter.com/beniemily9s We first met Beni on the streets of Harajuku in the spring of 2017. She was a Japanese high school student who dressed mostly in trendy styles sold by popular boutiques in the famous Tokyo neighborhood. As we got to know more about her, we learned that Beni was an aspiring artist, and that she had also been involved in dance (both ballet and modern dance) since she was very young. Having been interested in creative expression through art and dance since she was a child, we were not surprised to see Beni dive deeper into fashion as another medium to express herself. As she spent more time in Harajuku, Beni's personal style began to move away from trendy shops and toward independent designers, vintage shops, and experimental looks. Beni also began to make new friends on the streets of Harajuku - creative young people from all over Tokyo who shared her love of fashion and who have similar dreams and ambitions. When she first arrived in Harajuku, she didn't know anyone in the neighborhood. By the spring of 2018, Beni had built a large new family of friends, acquaintances, and creative collaborators - a group of kids who inspire and support each other in fashion and in life. Beni's story is similar to the story of many other Harajuku kids who visit Harajuku casually at first, and then discover a deeper love of fashion - and a new group of creative friends. We hope that you'll enjoy hearing about this evolution first hand from a real Harajuku girl. If you have questions for Beni, feel free to ask her by commenting on her personal Instagram. Colorful Flower Arrangement in Japanese Style - Moribana #Ikebana Tutorial

16:41
An Ikebana flower arrangement tutorial. IKEBANA ARRANGEMENT with Crataegus laevigata Paul's Scarlet and Rhododendron flowers. Minimalistic and in Moribana style. Colorful Flower Arrangement in Japanese Style In ikebana is a Japanese art of flower arranging, blossoms, branches, leaves, and stems. They find new life as materials for artmaking. In contrast to the western habits of randomly placing flowers in a vase, ikebana tries to bring out the inner qualities of flowers and branches and express feelings. Building Without Nails The Genius of Japanese Carpentry

25:25
We've heard of the genius "technology" used in ancient times to build towering monuments with nothing more than primitive tools like stones and ropes. The Egyptian pyramids of old is a great example. Back in the far east, Japan had plenty to offer the ancient world as well when it came to resourceful inventions and crafts. Traditional Japanese Carpenters built houses, temples, and castles, without the use of nails, screws, or bolts. In a documentary interviewing one of the few remaining practitioners of this seemingly lost art of carpentry, an old Japanese master craftsman exclaims "No bolts, no nails. It lasts longer!". Proudly claiming its effectiveness that no one would be able to argue against its success in the form of several majestic towering temples all over Japan still standing to this day. After being subjected to harsh weather and clashes of changes in civilizations for well over a thousand years. But with the bold statement comes a clear understanding that the success to this art isn't because they designed it to withstand "against" nature, instead, it is all about being "with" nature. Moving his livelihood to New York and sharing his art form of old Japanese wood working to the world, Isao Hanafusa, co-owner of Miya Shoji, has carved himself a unique niche in the competitive market of the furnishing industry. Sought out and revered by New Yorkers wanting that embrace with nature in their interior decor with a style and durability in craftsmanship that can't be rivaled by most factory produced alternatives. All furniture selections in Miya Shoji showrooms are hand crafted, even the types lumber used in all his crafts are hand selected by Hanafusa himself. Isao Hanafusa was a graduate of Industrial Revolution studies of which he states has produced countless wonders for the modern world, but its cold machinery has also tragically killed off individual talent that is supposed to reside in craftsmen. To this day, he rejects criticisms of his methods being unnecessarily old fashioned, because with all the bold talk of technologically advanced tools and methods used in modern day construction work, the Hanafusa family believes a thousand years worth of talent refinement and mastery should not be thrown away in exchange for mass production convenience. Nor is it going to back down from the contest that their crafts will last even longer than rigid concrete and metal structures for the simple fact they are not designed to resist against the force of mother nature, but to live with her. This Japanese Artist's Rope Bondage Performance Straddles S&M and Art

03:34
Kinbaku-bi, a Japanese style of rope bondage, translates to "the beauty of tight binding." The practice—part erotica, part avant-garde performance—originated from a rope-based martial art called Hojojutsu in feudal-era Japan. Today, kinbaku-bi artists are redefining the art for a modern audience, toeing the line between underground S&M and artistic tradition. Kinoko Hajime, one of Japan's foremost practitioners of kinbaku-bi, recently held a performance at the Museum of Sex in NYC. We paid him a visit to find out more about the art, working with models, and the infinite possibilities of knot-tying.
