Well a Scotsman clad in kilt left a bar one evening fair And one could tell by how he walked that he'd drunk more than his share He fumbled round until he could no longer keep his feet Then he stumbled off into the grass to sleep beside the street Ring ding diddle iddle I de oh ring di diddly I oh He stumbled off into the grass to sleep beside the street About that time two young and lovely girls just happened by And one says to the other with a twinkle in her eye See yon sleeping Scotsman so strong and handsome built I wonder if it's true what they don't wear beneath the kilt Ring ding diddle iddle I de oh ring di diddly I oh I wonder if it's true what they don't wear beneath the kilt They crept up on that sleeping Scotsman quiet as could be Lifted up his kilt about an inch so they could see And there behold, for them to view, beneath his Scottish skirt Was nothing more than God had graced him with upon his birth Ring ding diddle iddle I de oh ring di diddly I oh Was nothing more than God had graced him with upon his birth They marveled for a moment, then one said we must be gone Let's leave a present for our friend, before we move along As a gift they left a blue silk ribbon, tied into a bow Around the bonnie star, the Scot's kilt did lift and show Ring ding diddle iddle I de oh ring di diddly I oh Around the bonnie star, the Scots kilt did lift and show Now the Scotsman woke to nature's call and stumbled toward the trees Behind a bush, he lifts his kilt and gawks at what he sees And in a startled voice he says to what's before his eyes. O lad I don't know where you been but I see you won first prize Ring ding diddle iddle I de oh ring di diddly I oh O lad I don't know where you been but I see you won first prize

F**k You I'm Drunk - Irish Drinking Song - Lyrics ,

01:58
I bang on the door but you won't let me in, 'cause you're sick and tired of me reeking of gin. Locked all the doors from the front to the back, And left me a note telling me I should pack. I walk in the bar and the fella's all cheer, They order me up a whiskey and beer. You ask me why I'm writing this poem, Some call it a tavern but I call it home. F**k you, I'm drunk F**k you, I'm drunk Pour my beer down the sink I've got more in the trunk. F**k you, I'm drunk F**k you, I'm drunk And I'm going to be drunk till the next time I'm drunk! You've given me an option, you say I must choose, 'tween you and the liqour, then I'll take the booze! Jumpin' on Western down to the south side, Where I'll sit down and exercise my Irish pride. F**k you, I'm drunk F**k you, I'm drunk Pour my beer down the sink I've got more in the trunk. F**k you, I'm drunk F**k you, I'm drunk And I'm going to be drunk till the next time I'm drunk! ----- **No Copyright Infringement Intended.** -----

Guitar: The Drunken Scotsman (Including lyrics and chords)

02:46
This amusing little ditty has been requested by SeanJohnson97. It is another from the repertoire of The Irish Rovers a number of whose songs I have covered now. It requires no explanation. (It is over three years later that I have discovered that this song was actually written by American singer/songwriter, Mike Cross and also that most of the videos I looked at on YouTube which were supposed to be The Irish Rovers are in fact Bryan Bowers singing an A Capella version.) I have just produced a book of songs under the title "50 Songs from the 'threelegsoman' collection". It is available as a printed book or as an eBook and can be found at: http://store.blurb.com/ebooks/316519-50-songs-from-the-threelegsoman-collection http://bit.ly/1aKkBv9 If you're looking to improve the way you play the Guitar you NEED to see this!

Under the Scotsman's Kilt

A Great song about a Scotsman who's had a little too much to drink. I'm not sure who sings this, either Bryan Bowers or Jim Stafford. If you know, leave a comment. The Scot in the picture is none other than Sir Sean Connery.

The Scotsman

02:09
Song lyrics to The Scotsman A Scotsman clad in kilt left the bar one evening fair And one could tell by how he walked he'd drunk more than his share He staggered on until he could no longer keep his feet Then stumbled off into the grass to sleep beside the street. chorus: Ring ding diddle diddle i de o Ring di diddle i o He stumbled off into the grass to sleep beside the street. Later on two young and lovely girls just happened by, And one says to the other with a twinkle in her eye You see yon sleeping Scotsman who is young and handsome built I wonder if it's true what they don't wear beneath their kilt. Ring ding diddle diddle i de o Ring di diddle i o I wonder if it's true what they don't wear beneath their kilt. They crept up to the sleeping Scotsman quiet as could be Then lifted up his kilt about an inch so they could see And there behold for them to view beneath his Scottish skirt Was nothing but what God had graced him with upon his birth Ring ding diddle diddle i de o Ring di diddle i o There was nothing there but what God gave upon his birth They marveled for a moment then one said we'd best be gone But let's leave a present for our friend before we move along They took a blue silk ribbon and they tied it in a bow Around the bonnie spar that the Scot's lifted kilt did show Ring ding diddle diddle i de o Ring di diddle i o Around the bonnie spar that the Scot's lifted kilt did show The Scotsman woke to nature's call and stumbled toward a tree Behind a bush he lifts his kilt and gawks at what he sees Then in a startled voice he says to what's before his eyes He said, 'Lad I don't know where you've been but I see you won first prize' Ring ding diddle diddle i de o Ring di diddle i o He said, 'Lad I don't know where you've been but I see you won first prize'

the scotsman - phil durham

04:07
the brief history of the kilt at the beginning is probably flawed, i did no homework whatsoever, just pieced it together from stuff i remember hearing or reading. that said, this song has been called various things, the drunken scotsman, the drunk scotsman, so i'll just call it the scotsman. i've been familiar with this song for a while, and have sung it a cappella many times before, but this is the first attempt at playing it with a guitar and live, so keep that in mind. subscribe, rate, comment, and check out http:///www.phildurham.com and follow me on twitter http://www.twitter.com/phildurham. thanks for watching. p.s. i keep my music in plastic sheet protectors which caused some glare from the lights, coupled with my music stand being too weak to support my hefty song book meant that reading the chords was difficult to say the least. disclaimer - if someone owns the rights to this song, lemme know and i'll give you credit (it's not me)

The Creepy Bard has been hogging this channel for far too long. Its time for someone else to take the helm. Lyrics: Well a Scotsman clad in kilt left the bar one evening fair One could tell by how he walked that he'd drunk more than his share He fumbled round until he could no longer keep his feet Then he stumbled off into the grass asleep beside the street Ring-ding-did-a-little-la-di-oh, Ring-di-diddly-eye-oh, He stumbled off into the grass asleep beside the street About that time two young n' lovely girls just happened by One says to the other with a twinkle in her eye "See yon sleeping Scotsman so strong and handsome built, I wonder if it's true what they don't wear beneath the kilt." Ring-ding-did-a-little-la-di-oh, Ring-di-diddly-eye-oh, I wonder if it's true what they don't wear beneath the kilt They crept up on that sleeping Scotsman quiet as could be Lifted up his kilt about an inch so they could see And there behold for them to view beneath his Scottish skirt Was nothing more than God had graced him with upon his birth Ring-ding-did-a-little-la-di-oh, Ring-di-diddly-eye-oh, Was nothing more than God had graced him with upon his birth They marveled for a moment then one said, "We must be gone. Let's leave a present for our friend before we move along." As a gift they left a blue silk ribbon tied into a bow Around the bonnie star the Scot's kilt did lift and show. Around the bonnie star the Scot's kilt did lift and show. Now the Scotsman woke to nature's call and stumbled towards the trees Behind a bush he lift his kilt and gawks at what he sees And in a startled voice he says to what's before his eyes "Ah, lad I don't know you've been but I see you won first prize." Ring-ding-did-a-little-la-di-oh, Ring-di-diddly-eye-oh, "Ah, lad I don't know you've been but I see you won first prize." Our Scottish friend, still dressed in kilt, continued down the street He hadn't gone ten yards or more when a lass he chanced to meet She said "I've heard what's 'neath your kilt, tell me is it so". He said, "Just reach your hand up miss, if you'd really like to know" Ring-ding-did-a-little-la-di-oh, Ring-di-diddly-eye-oh, He said, "Just reach your hand up miss, if you'd really like to know" She reached her hand right up his kilt and got quite a surprise The Scotsman smiled as a very strange look came into his eyes. She cried, "Why sir, that's gruesome", then she heard him roar, "If you put your hand up once again, you'll find it grew some more" Ring-ding-did-a-little-la-di-oh, Ring-di-diddly-eye-oh, "If you put your hand up once again, you'll find it grew some more" His fingers numb with drink, and his head still spinning round, He couldn't get that knot undone, so he left it as was found, And when his wife did stare upon what stem yon flower grows, It peaked her curiosity as you might well suppose. Ring-ding-did-a-little-la-di-oh, Ring-di-diddly-eye-oh, It peaked her curiosity as you might well suppose. Well, then she asked her husband where he'd been and what he'd done. He said there'd been a contest at the pub and that he'd won. She cried, "How could you show that thing to all those other men?" He said, "I did not show it all, just enough to win." Ring-ding-did-a-little-la-di-oh, Ring-di-diddly-eye-oh, He said, "I did not show it all, just enough to win." Chords C F G C C F C G F C Am G C F G C F. Well a Scotsman clad in kilt left a bar one evening fair And one could tell by how we walked that he drunk more than his share He fumbled round until he could no longer keep his feet Then he stumbled off into the grass to sleep beside the street Ring ding diddle diddle I de oh ring di diddly I oh He stumbled off into the grass to sleep beside the street About that time two young and lovely girls just happend by And one says to the other with a twinkle in her eye See yon sleeping Scotsman so strong and handsome built I wonder if it's true what they don't wear beneath the kilt Ring ding diddle diddle I de oh ring di diddly I oh I wonder if it's true what they don't wear beneath the kilt They crept up on that sleeping Scotsman quiet as could be Lifted up his kilt about an inch so they could see And there behold, for them to see, beneath his Scottish skirt Was nothing more than God had graced him with upon his birth Ring ding diddle diddle I de oh ring di diddly I oh Was nothing more than God had graced him with upon his birth They marveled for a moment, then one said we must be gone Let's leave a present for our friend, before we move along As a gift they left a blue silk ribbon, tied into a bow Around the bonnie star, the Scots kilt did lift and show Ring ding diddle diddle I de oh ring di diddly I oh Around the bonnie star, the Scots kilt did lift and show Now the Scotsman woke to nature's call and stumbled towards a tree Behind a bush, he lift his kilt and gawks at what he sees And in a startled voice he says to what's before his eyes. Here's the lyrics for ya: Well a Scotsman clad in kilt left a bar one evening fair And one could tell by how he walked that he'd drunk more than his share He fumbled round until he could no longer keep his feet Then he stumbled off into the grass to sleep beside the street Ring ding diddle diddle I de oh ring di diddly I oh He stumbled off into the grass to sleep beside the street About that time two young and pretty girls just happened by And one says to the other with a twinkle in her eye See young sleeping Scotsman so strong and handsome built I wonder if it's true what they don't wear beneath the kilt Ring ding diddle diddle I de oh ring di diddly I oh I wonder if it's true what they don't wear beneath the kilt They crept up on that sleeping Scotsman quiet as could be Lifted up his kilt about an inch so they could see And there behold, for them to view, beneath his Scottish skirt Was nothing more than God had graced him with upon his birth Ring ding diddle diddle I de oh ring di diddly I oh Was nothing more than God had graced him with upon his birth They marveled for a moment, then one said 'we must be gone' 'Let's leave a present for our friend, before we move along' As a gift they left a blue silk ribbon, tied into a bow Around the bonnie star, the Scots kilt did lift and show Ring ding diddle diddle I de oh ring di diddly I oh Around the bonnie star, the Scots kilt did lift and show Now the Scotsman woke to nature's call and stumbled towards a tree Behind a bush, he lift his kilt and gawks at what he sees And in a startled voice he says to what's before his eyes. The Scotsman's Kilt - extra verses

04:31
Written by Mike Cross, I learned this by listening to Bryan Bowers - the master auto harpist. I apologize to any Scottish people - its all in fun, I know you must be rolling your eyes and sick of this one. I'm not sure who wrote the final four verses, I think they evolved from various ren faires. Verse: C G C G C G C G F C F G C G C F G C Chorus: F C G C G C F G C Oh a Scotsman tried and true left the bar one evening fair And one could tell by how he walked he'd had more than his share He stumbled round 'til he could no longer keep his feet Then he stumbled off unto the grass to sleep beside a stream. Well about that time two young and lovely ladies happened by And one said to the other, with a twinkle in her eye "Oh see yon sleepy Scotsman, so strong and handsome built?" "Well I wonder if it's true what they don't wear beneath their kilts Well they snuck up to that sleeping Scotsman, quiet as could be And they lifted up his kilt a little bit so they might see And there for them to behold, beneath that Scottish skirt, Was nothing more than God had graced him with upon his birth. Well they marveled for a moment, then one said, "We must be gone." "Well let's leave a present for our friend before we move along." As a gift, they left a blue silk ribbon tied into a bow Around the bonnie sword the Scotsman's kilt beneath did show. Well the Scotsman a little later, he awoke to nature's call And as he lifted up his kilt, what he gawked at what he saw, And in a strangled voice, he said, "I can't believe me eyes!" " I don't know where ye been, me lad, but I see ye took first prize!" Our Scottish friend still clad in kilt continued down the street And he hadn't gone a mile before a girl he chanced to meet. She said "I hear what's under there, tell me is it so?" He said "Just slip your hand up miss if you'd really like to know." She slipped her hand beneath his kilt and much to her surprise The Scotsman smiled and a very strange look came into his eyes. She said "Oh, sir that's gruesome!" and then she heard him roar "If you slip your hand up once again you'll find it's grew some more!" His fingers steeled with drink were not, his head still spinning round He could not loose the knot, and so he left it as 'twas found And when his wife did spy on that fair stem what flower grows It peaked her curiosity, as well you might suppose. And When she asked the Scotsman where he'd been and what he'd done He said there'd been a contest at the pub, and he had won Said she "how could you show that thing, in front of all those men?" He said "I did ne' show it all my lassie, just enough to win"

Under The Scotsman's Kilt

A Scotsman clad in kilt left the bar one evening fair And one could tell by how he walked he'd drunk more than his share He staggered on until he could no longer keep his feet Then stumbled off into the grass to sleep beside the street. chorus: Ring ding diddle diddle i de o Ring di diddle i o He stumbled off into the grass to sleep beside the street.
