Must Visit Places In Delhi | A Day Tour in Hop On Hop Off Bus | DesiGirl Traveller

13:15
Sightseeing tour is something we all wish to do when we visit to a new city. I love it too and that’s why I decided to take a sightseeing tour in Delhi – the capital city of India. I feel it is fun to explore your own city like a tourist. So, in this video, I have travelled in HOHO (Hop On/Hop Off) Bus to a few of the must-visit places of Delhi. HOHO bus is a sightseeing tour (a part of Delhi Tourism) initiative to help the tourists explore the must-visit places of Delhi in the best possible manner. What makes HOHO bus tour different than organized tours by travel agencies is the fact that HOHO bus tour is inexpensive, flexible and doesn’t require a definite planning in advance. The ticket price is Rs 500 for 1 day trip in which you can travel to 20 tourists’ places in Delhi. There is a HOHO bus at every 40-45 mins at the dedicated bus stops in Delhi. The routes of Hop On Hop Off bus cover museums, monuments, gardens, galleries, hotels, bazaars, shopping malls etc. Overall, the service of this tour bus by Delhi Tourism is designed to offer a complete experience of the capital city of India to a tourist. The ticket price doesn’t include tickets of monuments and other sites. You have to buy separate tickets for every monuments and sites of Delhi which you visit. Timing of the bus is: 7.50 am. 8.30 am, 9.10 am, 9.50 am, 10.30 am and so on. The bus starts from Baba Khadak Singh Marg. The earlier you start the more places you get to visit. You can book the ticket either from the counter at HOHO Bus office at Baba Khadak Sign Marg, or buy it online from http://hohodelhi.com/. You can even buy entry ticket online for monuments like Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb, Red Fort etc and save time. How to reach HOHO Bus Office: Metro – Nearest Metro Rajeev Chowk Metro Station. Exit Gate No 7 (8 mins walking distance) From Airport – 20 mins by Express Metro from T3 to Shivaji Stadium metro station, (4 mins from HOHO Centre) New Video every Tuesday & Friday! Delhi Vacation Travel Video Guide

25:36
Travel video about destination Delhi in India. Delhi is the political and administrative capital of India and the largest democracy in the world, a melting pot of both culture and religion plus a constantly expanding metropolis that has more than ten million inhabitants. Built on the site of twelve former cities it is the gateway to India and has been the country’s centre of power for almost a thousand years.Jama Masjid, the Friday Mosque, is one of old Delhi’s main landmarks, bequeathed to the city by the Mogul king, Shah Jahan. Its huge inner courtyard accommodates twenty thousand. Raj Ghat is a memorial to the country’s former political leaders and once contained the funeral pyres of Mahatma Ghandi, Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Ghandi. Rajpath is the name of an impressive three hundred metre wide road flanked by green swathes and luxuriant fountains, remnants of British Imperial rule. The National Rail Museum contains an interesting collection of nostalgic locomotives, carriages and memorabilia and for those who do not wish to risk a journey on India’s present day over-packed trains, the museum provides the perfect opportunity to imagine how it must have been on the Indian railroads of old. The Safdar-Jang Mausoleum was built in the final years of Mogul rule and is an architectural monument of this golden era. It contains each design element of this epoch, with a terrace-like substructure, painted stucco and a dome. No other city in this huge and diverse country demonstrates the dramatic history of India with all the intensity of colour as Delhi. -------------- Watch more travel videos ► https://goo.gl/MXPgSs Join us. We also cover off-the-beaten-path activities you won't find in a typical Old Delhi tourism brochure, Delhi city tour or Delhi itinerary. Delhi City Guide | India Travel Video Transcript: Well good morning from Delhi. It is our first day of sightseeing. Sam's parents arrived last night. Yeah. We've got the full group for travels. The squad is ready. We're going to be doing. We're going to be in Delhi for a couple of days. Yeah, just a that is how we're kicking things off. And yeah we just started by walking around today. We're visiting the Red Fort (लाल क़िला - لال قلعہ‎) right now. All over India. Yeah, so right now we're visiting the Red Fort (लाल क़िला - لال قلعہ‎) and honestly this is probably going to be a bit of a different format because we obviously want to spend time with Sam's parents. I don't think we're going to be filming as much but we're going to show you some of the highlights and kind of see how it works out. So let's go tour Delhi now. After wandering around the Red Fort for an hour or so, it was time for a little break, so we decided to introduce my parents to their first cup of masala chai in India. From there we went on a short tour of Old Delhi during rush hour, which in retrospect may not have been the best idea. It was a little too crowded to walk, so we popped into a restaurant for lunch instead. After visiting Humayun’s Tomb, we took two cycle rickshaws over to the Lodi Gardens. It was getting close to lunch hour, so first we stopped at “Lodi - The Garden Restaurant” where we had a really nice meal in an outdoor setting. From there we were just a few steps away from the actual gardens, which proved to be a popular spot on the weekend. The Gardens are named after the Lodhi Dynasty, who ruled parts of northern India from the mid 15th century to the early 16th century, before the rise of the Mughal Empire. The gardens contain various tombs and mosques, and it’s a very tranquil setting in what can otherwise be a very chaotic city. Like most structures in Old Delhi, Jama Masjid is made of red sandstone and white marble, and it also happens to be one of the largest mosques in all of India. So we're at the train station here in Delhi (दिल्ली ਿਦੱਲੀ) and that means we are wrapping up the trip here. What an adventure. So yeah that is it for our time in Delhi. That was an assault on the senses. Oh yes. Delhi is a very chaotic but yet exciting city and there is a lot to do but it is the kind of place where once you've seen a few attractions and you're ready to move on yeah. Yeah, it is time to move on. And we are moving on. Where are we off to next? We're off to Jaisalmer in Rajasthan. So this is somewhere I've been before. I'm so excited to be going there. So stay tuned for those adventures. We've got a lot more destinations in India to come. Bye! This is part of our Travel in India video series showcasing Indian food, Indian culture and Indian cuisine. India Vlog: New Delhi Red Fort, Raj Ghat, India Gate!

11:52
February 13, 2015 www.instagram.com/timandglo And so our 12-day adventure in India begins! We took an Air India red-eye flight direct from Shanghai to New Delhi. Our flight was a little delayed, so we only arrived in New Delhi at 3:00 am. We used the prepaid car service inside the arrivals terminal for transportation from the airport to our hotel. This was a mistake! We were charged 1,500 rupees only to find out that we could have used the prepaid taxi service just outside the terminal for 500 rupees. Something to remember for next time! :) We stayed at the New Delhi Railway branch of the Ginger Hotel chain. It's located just 200 meters from the Ajmeri Gate side of the train station, which is convenient for early departures or late arrivals. The hotel is affordable and clean, although the flusher on our toilet didn't work very well. The restaurant has good options for all meals. We want to note that there is a significant amount of noise pollution from the train station - constant honking! If you're a light sleeper, you might want to find a hotel further away from the train station. We only slept for 2.5 hours and were impressed that we managed to stay out and active the whole day. After spending the morning walking around the backpacker-friendly Pahar Ganj neighborhood (on the opposite side of the train station from Ginger Hotel), we pooled our resources with friends to hire a car and driver for the afternoon, which cost 1,800 rupees total for four hours. Hiring a car and driver is definitely the way to go for sightseeing in Delhi, especially if you're short on time like we were. The city is huge, traffic can get very congested, and a car and driver are relatively affordable. Because we got a late start to our driving tour, we only managed to see three tourist sites: Red Fort, Raj Ghat, and India Gate. Raj Ghat was especially beautiful. It's the site of Mahatma Gandhi's final resting place. The park areas at Raj Ghat are lovely! If you're not pressed for time, we recommend taking a picnic and staying for a while. ;) We went to Connaught Place for dinner. The area is filled great restaurants and as well as a famous bakery, Wenger's. We were pretty exhausted by dinner, so we opted to return to the hotel early as opposed to exploring the neighborhood at night. But it looked like a happening place! The next morning, we woke up at 4:30 am to catch our train to Agra, home of Taj Mahal! Looking forward to sharing that vlog! As always, thank you for watching!! And happy travels!! :D Music: YouTube Audio Library

The Food Ranger (Trevor James) is in India eating Street Food! This walk through Old delhi truly was an AMAZING STREET FOOD ADVENTURE with delicious curry, amazing restaurants, and with so much tasty and UNIQUE Indian food recipes for our huge Indian dinner. If you love eating street food around the world and street food in India, or even all over Asia, you will love the street food in Old Delhi. You can find street food everywhere, where everyone seems to cook delicious Indian recipes for curry and SPICY dishes all over the street. In one day in old Delhi, India, we had 7 delicious street foods all made in the halal style. We started out the day with an AMAZING ramadan experience at the largest Mosque in Delhi, Jama Masjid. We picked up a ton of different Indian street foods to bring to the mosque and break the fast with all the locals. We shared the delicious food, and then went back to the streets of Old Delhi to try more food. The first food we had on our street food tour was the Delhi Fried Chicken, DFC, covered in Indian spices like masala and mustard. It was extremely JUICY and PLUMP!!! Afterwards, we tried more BBQ chicken and then went for a nice Indian dinner cooked by one of the locals in Old Delhi. His family recipes were passed down to him and his food was legendary! We ate Indian Chicken Biryani and chicken korma curry along with Buffalo Korma along with Kameeri Roti! It was absolutely delicious! After this, we went to the LEGENDARY Changezi chicken joint that invented the recipe for this juicy and flavour packed chicken curry dish! To finish of the day, we went for some delicious BBQ Seekh Kebabs, extremely flavourful!! The addresses for these street food restaurants in Old Delhi, India, are found on the main street below Jama Masjid, Old Delhi, India. Worst Travel Day EVER! Kathmandu, Nepal to Delhi, India

07:36
Have you ever experienced a bad day of travel? On our way from Kathmandu, Nepal to Delhi, India we had our worst travel day ever! It basically was a series of bad events one after another that made for just a horrible and stressful day of travel. Firstly, at the airport in Kathmandu the Air India staff and immigration were not accepting our India tourist e-visa that we had completed a month in advance. The piece of paper we were carrying did not look official to them and after making us wait for nearly two hours we finally were allowed to go through security. Upon arriving in India the immigration staff for e-visas was dreadfully understaffed and maybe officers were just chatting with each other instead of doing their job. Finally after arriving to our hotel we had trouble finding an ATM that would dispense cash but it took us 9 tries to finally find one that did. Overall, a horrible day of travel but we're looking forward to having a good night of sleep and starting fresh tomorrow with the idea of having a great travel adventures in India. Have you had a bad of travel like this before? Share your story in the comments below. Kathmandu, Nepal to Delhi, India transcript: So it is another travel day. Our time in Kathmandu is up. And next up we're off to India to rendezvous with Sam's parents. Yeah, my parents are going to be joining us and we're going to be traveling for close to a month in India. It is going to be an amazing adventure. I mean it is kind of sad that our time in Nepal went by so fast but I just feel like our travels have just been going so quickly this past year. I don't know what it is. It feels like we just arrive and then we're leaving. We're leaving. But anyways yeah we have a busy schedule in India and we'll tell you more about that soon. So let's go check in. This is Audrey ranting... Staff didn't think our e-visa was a real visa They decided to check in other passengers instead so we waited...a long time Then we got taken to the back office We had to go online and prove we were granted entry it was a stressful 1+ hour Well I would say this has been a very stressful morning. We were able to make it through but for some reason our visa was a huge problem and we were there probably for an hour. I thought they were not going to let us go through security or get on the plane. But anyways, that is sorted. Now our flight has been delayed again. It had already been delayed once before. And the power has also gone out in the airport. So it could be a long day. How are you feeling? At the moment. I'm still frazzled about the India situation because yeah. Um, we have something called an e-visa. Yeah. It is where you apply online um you're approved and then you're given this form to print out. And I guess the people working here have never seen that before. And so they weren't accepting it. And so luckily someone had the idea when we went to the back office to actually check it out. Like to check it out to look it up online. Look it up online and then it was confirmed yes we are allowed to go. But yeah, it looked like we were going to be not let on that plane. And like it would be really frustrating just the two of us traveling but the fact we are meeting up with my parents and we've arranged this trip like months in advance and we've already booked train tickets and hotels. Just like all of these thoughts were racing through my head. Like oh my gosh we're not going to be there to meet them. You know it was just awful. I'm just absolutely frazzled right now. I'm trying to calm down but this has not been a great day. Yeah. So yeah, that has been our first day in Delhi. Yeah, so sorry this video has been really ranty and whiny. It feels like we've just been complaining all day long. That has been us today. Nah travel. Well, it was a tough day. So a good night sleep and hopefully a brighter day tomorrow. Yeah, so hopefully the next video you see from us will be a fun travel vlog out sightseeing in Delhi and yeah more peppy optimism. Ciao for now. This is part of our Travel in India video series showcasing Indian food, Indian culture and Indian cuisine. Music in this video courtesy of Audio Network

Sign up at Blackbox to find out: http://bit.ly/StockBlackBox While our 6 week journey through north India we were not only given the opportunity to discover the unique diversity of the country and its people but we were also able to experience its intensity and its beauty. Whether we were playing drums at an indian wedding or were exploring places like Jaipur, Pushkar, Varanasi, Jodhpur, New Delhi or Rishikesh - we always had our cameras with us to capture the incredible stories that appeared to just happen on the street every single day. India has definitely been a tough country to travel but nevertheless it was worth the visit. We learned a lot while this journey and our footage now finally resulted in this beautiful travel video about north India! #India #Travel #Video

Travel Vlog Iv is a travel and food video channel. I'm Ivana, nice to meet you! You'll find travel and food videos on this channel because I like to take you along while exploring the world. These videos hopefully make you excited to travel and eat food around the world as well. There's such a joy in getting out of your comfort zone and growing as human being by traveling to new places and eating delicious food you've never tasted before. I'm currently based in Bangalore because India is my favourite country in the world. Travel in India is kind of my thing but I've been al over the world. Just check these playlists to begin your journey with me: https://bit.ly/2l4sMk4 FAQ's: Q Where are you from? A I am born in former Yugoslavia. Mom is Serbian, Dad is Bosnian. During the '90's war we came to the Netherlands and I got Dutch nationality. I've lived in Amsterdam for 8 years but lost my heart to India. Since 2018 I'm based in Bangalore. See this video for my refugee story: https://bit.ly/2l17T9h Q How can you afford to travel so much? A I saved for 3 years while working full time and now travel vlogging is my job. I work together with tourism agencies but also do some freelance work on the side. You can watch this video: https://youtu.be/vxfjQO_F1vE and this one: https://youtu.be/dB7plg139wQ to learn more about my story. Q What camera do you film with and what editing software do you use? A Canon G7X Mark II and Final Cut Pro X Q (Why) Are you vegetarian? A I'm vegetarian but not strict. I don't eat any meat, fish, cooked/boiled or fried eggs. I gradually became a vegetarian over the course of 15 years because I disliked the taste of meat more and more. After doing a yoga teacher training in 2015 I also quit fish and the eggs. No matter my food preferences I have no issues with other people not being vegetarian. I don't judge others and kind of expect the same favor from others concerning my own food preferences. It makes for a more friendly world :-) Q Why do you usually travel alone? A Because my friends have jobs with limited holidays, kids and partners. Also I really like exploring on my own. Q Why do you love India so much? A Watch this video: http://bit.ly/2iyUKkc and this one: https://youtu.be/Sh7E9VisTKQ
