German Youth Festival (1938)
Germany. On the anniversary of the start of the First World War, we see a huge Nazi youth festival at a German stadium. Hundreds of young men and women dressed in white march along; some carry flags. People in the audience make the Nazi salute. Hundreds of young men in white shorts and vests do physical exercises in formation to traditional German music - it looks rather comical (to this cataloguer), with lots of punching and knee-bends. Women do the same kind of exercises, using clubs that they swing about and beat on the ground. Brief shots of adults and children in the audience applauding. Radical Right-wing in Germany in 2018 - Docu - 2018
The radical right-wing in Germany is getting stronger. This new German radical right is led by mostly educated young men. How can there be such a rise in radical right-wing in 2018 in Germany given its history? What does this radical right-wing movement fight for? The fear of migrants leads more and more Germans to make radical right-wing ideas commonplace. Is history repeating itself? We are in 2018 and the Germans, feeling threatened by the arrival of migrants, are searching for solidarity and Heimat: the feeling of motherland. These are old concepts in a new jacket, laying a fertile ground for this new assertively operating ultra-right movement. Original title: Radicaal Rechtse Voorhoede The driving forces behind the new radical right-wing movement are mostly young men with a university education. They think that during their studies only one story is told: that of the protest generation of 1968 and the left-liberals. With publishing companies, vlogs, café evenings, youth groups and a sophisticated social media policy, radical right-wing ideas blend into the public debate. In Austria, the movement to the right has translated into government participation of the right wing FPÖ; they provide five ministers for the current coalition with the Christian Democrats. And in Germany there is more open talk about stopping all immigrants by putting a fence around Germany. Some Germans are forced to turn to Eastern Europe. For example to Bulgaria where a strict anti-migration policy is being implemented and where private command troops try to stop any migrants at the border. How does the Europe where they are in charge look like according to this radical right-wing vanguard? Child Soldiers in Germany in WW2
SS Youth Division: Towards the end of the War, the Germans established an entire SS Panzer Tank Division with the majority of its recruits being 16 and 17-year-old boys from the Hitler Youth brigades. Many were so young, that they were provided with sweets instead of alcohol and tobacco rations. In the 1st Battalion over 65% were under 18 years old, and only 3% were over 25. There were more than 10,000 boys in this division. The 12th SS Panzer Division of the Hitlerjugend, was established later in World War II as Germany suffered more casualties, and more young people volunteered, initially as reserves, but soon joined front line troops. These children saw extensive action and were among the fiercest and most effective German defenders in the Battle of Berlin. In the battle of the Normandy beaches, the division had suffered 60% casualties, most of whom were teenagers. These fearsome young boy soldiers acquired a formidable reputation for their violent and unforgiving practice, shooting prisoners, and were responsible for 64 deaths of British and Canadian soldiers between June 7-16 1944. Luftwaffenhelfers: Luftwaffenhelfer'' (commonly: Flakhelfer = anti-aircraft warfare helpers) are terms commonly used for German students deployed as child soldiers during World War II. The Luftwaffenhelfer ("Luftwaffe assistant") program was the implementation of the "Kriegshilfseinsatz der Jugend bei der Luftwaffe" ("war auxiliary deployment of youth into the Luftwaffe") order issued on January 22, 1943. The order called for drafting whole school classes with male students born in 1926 and 1927 into a military corps, supervised by Hitler Youth and Luftwaffe personnel. The draft was later extended to include the 1928 and 1929 births. Deployment included ideological indoctrination by the Hitler Youth, military duties and limited continuation of the normal school curriculum, often by the original teachers. While the official term was "Luftwaffenhelfer (HJ)", the term more commonly used is "Flakhelfer" ("Flak-assistant"). The 1926-1929 births are commonly referred to as the "Flakhelfer-Generation". In German ears the phrase associates with the collective and incisive experience of being torn out of conventional adolescent life (though under circumstances of total war) and being thrown into strict military service and extreme peril, when in the final phase of the war, the AA-batteries themselves became preferred targets of allied strafers. In August 1944 some 660,000 regular male soldiers and 450,000 female helpers (anti-aircraft personnel) in all departments served with the Luftwaffe within the 'auxiliary antiaircraft defense'. Many of the girls came from the Bund Deutscher Mädel (BDM), although they had to officially join the Wehrmacht, because it was forbidden for BDM-girls to do armed duty. In 1945, "Flakhelferinnen" and other female subsidiaries were trained and allowed to carry weapons to protect themselves. Music: Pachelbel Violin

⤹Read the description, it explains everything⤵︎ Since I had to delete a bunch of my videos, I have decided to remake a few videos I made in the past with my updated opinion and attitude towards the topics. With that being said, sorry if the video might seem repetitive. I just want to make sure I remake the videos that I lost :( I only see it fair to start my remake series with my favorite topic and that is DATING differences. Dating a person from a different country can be hard but oh so fun at the same time. It allows you to gain knowledge about new people and yourself. Some of the main differences I have noticed between German men and USA men have nothing to do with physical aspects but with relatively smaller intellectual factors. Racism in former East Germany | DW Documentary
In former East Germany, many foreign workers were subjected to racism and violent attacks. Many of these crimes are still unsolved today. "Beat the Algerians to death!" cried mobs of young men rampaging through Erfurt for three days in August 1975. From the mid-1960s onwards, the East German leadership recruited foreign contract workers to deal with the labor shortage in the so-called workers' and peasants' state. Initially, they came from the East bloc countries of Poland and Hungary. Then, from the 1970s onward, many young men arrived from Algeria, Cuba, Mozambique, Vietnam and Angola. They were generally admitted on a temporary basis. They lived separately from the locals in dormitories, were not allowed to bring family members with them and had to leave the country at the end of the contract period. Private relationships between contract workers and locals were often discouraged. But behind the official image of solidarity and friendship, a growing number of racist incidents were deliberately hushed up and concealed. Racism and attacks on foreigners did not fit with East Germany’s own self-image. Historian Harry Waibel spent years researching and evaluating the archival files gathered by the Stasi - the East German secret police. They prove that racially motivated violence resulted in several thousand assaults and even some murders during the East German years. Two filmmakers have now examined his evidence to recreate what happened back then. Why did these racially motivated crimes occur? Why was so much hushed up? And what are the consequences of this history in Germany today? _______ DW Documentary gives you knowledge beyond the headlines. German Fitness, 1930's - Film 6031
Display of physical strength and exercise demonstrated by serious, fit young men of Germany (20's-30's) in shorts. Men in shorts and short hair cuts march in rows while holding metal balls and medicine balls. Very militaristic, suggestion of Greek athletes. Muscularly well defined men exercise in sync in a field, lifting arms, spinning arms, bending and touching ground. Medium shot of one man doing this exercise. Rows of men in shorts sitting, extending and bending legs and grasping knees with hands when legs bent. Closer shot of blond haired man (Aryan) doing this exercise. Medium shot of man lying on back, sitting up and slapping hands against grass. Two rows of men consisting of men pulling other men who are resisting. Man bent over with another standing behind him. Other men vault over the bent over man and do somersaults assisted by a standing man. Similar exercise but somersaulting men place hands on ground and are then folded over the arms of two helpers. Three men somersault in unison without assistance. In slow motion man somersaults holding on to two men's arms. Man somersaults over bent over man without touching him, then over three then over six. Rows of men throwing medicine balls at each other in unison. Instructor demonstrates how hard a medicine ball can be thrown. Row of men lying down and throwing medicine balls to standing partner. Pairs of men wrestle over medicine ball. Focus on one pair, they tug and pull, fall on ground and throw each other around, good example of writhing. Rows of men standing, throwing heavy balls into air with one hand, catching in the other and then repeating, different shots of this exercise. Throwing same ball in air with both hands, catching it with both, swinging between legs and throwing it up again. Same exercise but throwing in air with one hand. Throwing ball in one hand and catching it in same. Large ball with handle, throwing it up in air with one hand, catching it with the other. Flicking ball in one hand over shoulder. Men marching quickly in columns along running track. Walking along track bringing knee up to chest on each step. Again along track, long step and pushing back side as low to ground as possible while arms are stretched to the side. Running along track. In threes the men adopt the sprint start position and then run off. Single line of men jumping over high jump bar. Two lines of men jumping over high jump bar (straight at camera). Line of men scissor jumping over high jump bar. Men shot putting. Lines of men crossing elevated beam, ditto with medicine balls over heads. Standing on beam, throwing medicine ball into air and catching it. Medicine ball thrown to partner (also on beam) who throws it back. Men crouching and crawling along beam. Two men on beam attempting to gain balance, they both fall off into the ditch below, two men attempting to slap the other's hand while on beam, one loses balance and falls off, the other raises arms in victory. Men in lines running and then jumping over ditch. Men in rows jumping on to high wall, pulling themselves up and them vaulting over it. Shot of the other side of the wall. A much higher wall, men stand along bottom of wall, others run at them, place foot in hand, they are given a 'leg-up'. Another man at top of wall pulls them up. There is a sense of Nazism within the film as the fit young men of Germany are made fitter to make Germany great again. The men in the film are perhaps too old for Hitler Youth members but the images can suggest this.

Afro Germany - being black and German | DW Documentary
Black and German: news anchor Jana Pareigis has spent her entire life being asked about her skin color and afro hair. What is it like to be Black in Germany? What needs to change? In our documentary "Afro Germany", Pareigis travels through Germany to speak with other black Germans, including rap and hip hop artists and pro footballers, , and find out what their experiences of racism in Germany have been. "Where are you from?" Afro-German journalist Jana Pareigis has heard that question since her early childhood. And she’s not alone. Black people have been living in Germany for around 400 years, and today there are an estimated one million Germans with dark skin. But they still get asked the often latently racist question, "Where are you from?" Jana Pareigis is familiar with the undercurrents of racism in the western world. When she was a child, the Afro-German TV presenter also thought her skin color was a disadvantage. "When I was young, I wanted to be white," she says. Pareigis takes us on a trip through Germany from its colonial past up to the present day, visiting other Black Germans to talk about their experiences. They include German rapper and hip hop artist Samy Deluxe, pro footballer Gerald Asamoah and Theodor Michael, who lived as a Black man in the Third Reich. They talk about what it’s like to be Black in Germany. The Volkssturm: Germany's last army
The Volkssturm was the German last army of WW2, a ragtag collection of old men and young boys armed with every sort of weapon, from WWI rifles to the deadly Panzerfaust. They fought on both the Western and Eastern Fronts during the final stages of the war in 1945, particularly during the Battle of Berlin. In this video, what the Volksstrum was, will be discussed, with some detail as to equipment, organization, and effectiveness. All material and the video itself, are for educational purposes only. They had technically existed since 1925, but were little more then an organization on paper rather then an actual force. The propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels, tried to paint the creation as a massive swelling of nationalism and drive for the German state, further instilled by being under control of SS members, or Nazi party officals, but were under Wehrmacht control during combat. However, the state of these individuals did little to improve the morale of troops on the front-line. And the decrepit state of these militia members, showed the desperation of the state to the troops. The arming of these new troops were in many ways even more scarce. Some Kar98's were issued, as well as Gewher 98's and 71's, and Steyr-Mannlicher's. The Militia was supposed to be armed from both the SS and the Wehrmacht, but both had very little to spare. What were plentiful though, were Panserfausts, a single use, anti-tank weapon, given to members of all ages, and the staple weapon of training, when training was given. In combination to the Panswerfaust, were captured enemy stores, the issue being, that most of these weapons took various ammo types, and overburdened the already massively struggling supply situation. Some weapons designed specifically for the Volkstrum were constructed such as the MP 3008 and the Volkspistol among many others.

Germany: Father of IS foreign fighters opens up on his search for answers
Subscribe to our channel! rupt.ly/subscribe With the fall of the last bastion of the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) near the Syrian town of Baghouz, the United States has demanded European countries take back and put on trial hundreds of foreign fighters captured by the US-led coalition. The father of two young German men who travelled to Syria to join IS in 2014 opened up about his years-long quest to reunite with his sons, in an interview at his home in the town of Zierenberg, near Kassel, on Monday. He called on the German government to allow for their return. The last time real-estate manager Joachim Gerhard saw his two sons, Fabian and Manuel (born in 1992 and 1996), was shortly before they secretly left for Syria at the end of October 2014. The two brothers had converted to Islam in April and May 2014. More than four years later, at the end of February, Gerhard received a phone call from an unknown number saying that the eldest son, Fabian, was alive and a prisoner of the Free Syrian Army. "No one was asking for money. It was merely information that three days earlier Fabian had been imprisoned together with 20 more people," Gerhard said before adding that the detention centre was supposedly located in the area of al-Qamishli, near the Syria-Turkey border. In March 2015, just a few weeks after Gerhard had travelled to Turkey in the hope of meeting up with his sons across the border in Syria, he received a message announcing they had died in Kobane. Fabian and Manuel have never been declared officially dead by any official German authority, according to their father who also refused to believe they are gone. Gerhard's living room is covered with photos of his two sons, some portraying them in Syria: one depicts Fabian, the oldest, standing with black headgear against the backdrop of a lake. His left index finger points towards heaven, a symbol of IS militants, while he wears a rifle around his upper body. Gerhard never stopped hoping and gathering evidence to prove that his two children were still alive. More than 20 trips to Turkey and one trip to Syria, contacts with smugglers and informants have increased hope, he said. "In 2017 I spoke with a representative of the LKA [Landeskriminalamt, German law enforcement agency]. This person confirmed to me that both my sons were still alive and living in Raqqa, before the offensive [US coalition intervention]," Gerhard said. The rooms of the two brothers have remained unchanged. Manuel's room showcases computer books, a collection of hats and an electric guitar. Photos of Julia, Fabian's wife, are still in his room. She too had converted to Islam and was part of the brothers' plan to go to Syria, Gerhard said, but she ended up not leaving with them. Fabian wanted to become an actor, Manuel a photographer. They both moved to Berlin for their studies, and once they returned to live with their father in Kassel they were introduced by a friend to Islam. During the spring of 2014, Fabian told his father that he wanted to live according to the Islamic faith and some months later, his younger brother followed suit. Visits to the mosque in Kassel became more frequent until the decision, kept hidden from Gerhard, to leave. "In our family there had never been strong political discussions. Not one of us is a member of a political party or ever supported war," said Gerhard. The young men's radicalisation happened in only three months, Gerhard recounted. "They always said that it had nothing to do with IS and with joining the war in Syria, they always said that they had embraced Islam in order to be able to live better. Things changed a bit two weeks before they left: they didn't listen to the radio anymore, no music, they wouldn't come to eat in a normal restaurant. But the fact that they were planning to leave, none of us would have predicted it." Gerhard teared up when recalling how both sons left behind a goodbye letter saying "thank you for being good parents." "They asked to trust them, that this was their faith and their way, which they had to follow." The news of Fabian's supposed imprisonment comes at a time when the status upon return of foreign fighters is being debated by policymakers around the world. Reconstruction of West Germany, 1970's - Film 14792
Essentially the story of West Germany's post-war reconstruction, with rather cliched American commentary. Somewhat Cold war Pro-Nato and anti-communist ,but not excessively so. Some of the historical maps are innacurate. A man in shirtsleeves, walking along a road which is still being completed, carrying a suitcase. Cars on an autobahn. Credits. Aachen Cathedral. Remains of Charlemagne - The first Reich, Holy Roman Empire. A map of Europe, labelled 800 - 1806! Picture of Bismarck, "architect of second Reich." Bismarck's monument near Cologne. Map of Europe, showing Second Reich, 1871. This map shows countries like Czechoslovakia which did not exist at that date. Date on the map changes to 1918 as the map shows Germany's territorial losses at that date. Next we see a map showing Germany at almost the height of her World War Two conquests , but it is dated 1933. Swastika fills the screen. Flames. German soldiers and civilians with hands up, presumably 1945. Footage of bombed out German city. Map then shows Germany divided, with East Germany and the lost territories marked off, date 1945. A German street in the1970's, filled with cars. Footage from the 1940's, people standing in the snow. Newspaper headlines shown,"Obituary for Germany". More ruined buildings and bridges. Statues in seventeenth century costume. Headline: "Occupy Germany for fifty years" 1940's footage of people cleaning off bricks and pulling possessions along on little handcarts. Men mixing concrete. Men laying bricks. "Rebuilding began on a very small scale". Legs and feet walking through mud. Upper bodies and heads of "Young men fleeing the Russian occupied zone". Barbed wire fence. Discussion of the partition of Germany and breakdown of the wartime alliance. Another map, again showing East and West Germany and the lost territories in the East. Headline: "West Germany, birth of a nation". Young men standing outside a factory in the wet. Picture of General Marshall. Discussion of the Marshall plan. Pictures of old Reichsmarks and the new Deutschmarks. Grain elevators. Coal arriving by ship. Building materials being unloaded from ships. Chickens being unloaded. Cattle being unloaded. This looks forties, but is in colour. Pallets of chemical fertilizer being unloaded. Shot of ships in the docks. More grain coming down a chute. Details of Marshall plan. Shot of farmer ploughing with a horse. Planting potatoes by hand. Two women moving a cart, one pushing, one pulling, child alongside. Man moving stones. Building, men in cloth caps, one pushing a wheelbarrow up a ramp. Men and women working in constuction. These are apparently refugees from the Eastern zone building their own housing. Small boy spreading dung in the fields. An old woman haymaking. Women in headscarves planting potatoes. Sheaves of a largeleafed crop being loaded by hand. An old woman trimming a swede , or beet. Heap of root vegetables. A woman loading root veg. onto an oxcart. The agricultural footage is colour, but rather muted colour. Man driving an oxcart, then man driving a tractor. "By 1950 West German agricultural production had reached pre-war levels, and food rationing ended". Women and children harvesting potatoes. German village from a distance, in the sunshine. Inside the village two boys ride bicycles past a flock of geese. A cobbled street in a small town. City streets, "damage would be visible for many years" Cars and trams in the streets. Barges on a river. Cranes, docks. Discussion of coal and steel community. Men in suits round tables. "Combined labour- management committees". Shots of factories, focusing on company logos, "Monnesmann", "Hoechst" , "Krupp". Steelworks. "By 1953 West Germany's output exceeded pre-war levels". Forges. Building sites. A historic edifice shown before and after restoration. Little boy running to school. Children in a classroom. Making paper dice. Boys learning metalwork. Older boys in a laboratory. White coated adults in a research laboratory. Dubious looking liquid in a sink. Close up of a chemical reaction. Block of futuristic looking metal. Man at a microscope. Industrial production of large blocks. Sections for prefabricated buildings being made. A block of flats being made with prefab sections. Shot of finished blocks of flats. Map of Europe again, dated 1957. Lost Eastern territories still shaded in as German. A combine harvester at work. Coal trucks. Discussion of Common market. Map of Europe , Eec countries with stripes. Docks, barges, steel being rolled. Finished metal tubes. An oil rig . Men working on a drilling rig. Oil pumps on the outskirts of an old-fashioned town. Pipeline being laid from the Netherlands. Chemical works.

Muslim openly threatens German man 'We will conquer you with births, we will marry your daughters!'
As indigenous Germans are becoming the minority in their own cities, Muslims become increasingly revealing about their true intentions. This Muslim openly threats a German man and tells him, that his daughter will wear a headscarf and marry a Muslim and that Germans stand no chance with their low birth rate, belittling them as "having 1 child and a dog at most". He goes on to brag that Muslims have 7-8 children, can marry 4 wives and will "conquer Europe not with weapons, but with birth rates". This is the alleged punishment by Allah, the almighty god himself, for the acts of "colonizing and exploiting their countries so they can drive Mercedes and have digital cameras". Germany is expected to receive 1.5 million Muslim refugees, mostly young men. Current laws allow that they bring their family, which a CDU politician estimated to be around 20 million more by 2020.

Germany: Sales of self-defence weapons skyrocket in Berlin
Self-defense items were reportedly flying of the shelves of Berlin-based store 'Soldier of Fortune', which specialises in weaponry, Wednesday, as sales of defence equipment continue to skyrocket in Germany. The growth in arms sales is purportedly related to fears of increasing refugee numbers, with many Germans conflating the recent influx of migrants with an increase in crime. Owner of the shop, Pavel Sverdlov, said that business is currently booming. After receiving a fresh delivery just the day before, Sverdlov pointed at the display case saying, "Normally it's completely full of 20, 30, kinds of gas and Zubehor pistols but now we're practically sold out." Selling an array of weapons including guns, knives and even swords, Sverdlov said that the type of clientele visiting his shop has changed, and that the demand for less lethal alternatives such as electro shockers and pepper spray has increased. "Normally our customers are young men, but from August, September, older people are coming to us more women, or some men with their wives, their daughters," he said. Each man worked hard and in return, the monster would disgorge, the contents of its bowels which men could sell or use to forge. For many years the beast and man shared bounty from the ground, and families grew, and young men knew, their future here was sound. and even though the monster caused a stain upon the land, the stains would pass unnoticed when it meant cash in your hand. And on and on o’er many years the monster shared its life, until one day a message came which caused the men great strife. Some faceless fools from lands afar decreed the monster’s death, “he’ll feed no more for monsters overseas will eat far less.” So men in tears, whom through the years, had tended to the beast must watch in awe, the monsters fall, and imports from the East. And now it’s gone except a few sad objects sat in grime, like trophies from a monster slain, long dead before its time. Among Men - Gay in East Germany (english Trailer)
a film by Ringo Rösener and Markus Stein (Germany 2012 · 91 min · 2012) DVD: http://bit.ly/1JgtSBD The first documentary on gay life in East Germany! How did gay men live and love under the socialist dictatorship of East Germany? In the first documentary on this topic, six men tell the young director what it would have been like if he had been born just a few years or a few decades earlier. Their perspectives are as individual as their life stories: an East German punk, a gay activist from the church, a free-thinking artist, a closeted gay teacher, an emigrant from Chile and a craftsman from the country all prove one thing: in East Germany, everyone was not the same after all. A moving documentary about sexual freedom in a totalitarian system.

Migrants take dating lessons in Dortmund
(28 Nov 2016) Omar Mohammed, a 24-year-old refugee from Syria, says he's very attracted to German women - he loves their looks, likes the sound of them talking in German and would die to date one of them, only he doesn't know how to do it. The shy Syrian, with spikey black hair, almond-shaped eyes and olive skin, is somewhat of a novice when it comes to the other sex. German women, in particular, seem a big mystery to him. So Mohammed, a goldsmith from the Syrian city of Afrin near the Turkish border, decided to take action. He was one of 11 young Muslim men who participated in a dating class for refugees in the western city of Dortmund. Horst Wenzel, often dubbed Germany's Mr. Flirt, makes his living teaching wealthy but uptight German men how to approach women. But this year, he decided to also volunteer his skills to help Germany as it struggles to integrate more than one million refugees who have arrived over the past two years, most of them from war-torn Muslim countries with vastly different relations between the sexes. Last week, in downtown Dortmund, he offered his third installment of "How to fall in love in Germany," taking the group of young men through their paces. The students conceded they had a lot to learn. Some German women were receptive to the idea - Hannah Tietjen, a 20-year-old psychology student, said she was open-minded about being with a refugee as long as he wasn't restrictive. Jasmin Olbrich, a 24-year-old, said "human touch," "honesty," and "trust" mattered most when it came to a potential partner. But across Germany, hostility to asylum seekers has been on the rise since groups of foreigners - mostly young men from northern Africa - robbed and groped dozens of women on New Year's Eve in Cologne. Most of the hostility targets young male asylum-seekers from Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan, who make up the majority of the migrants reshaping Germany. Last year alone, 890,000 people applied for asylum, with hundreds of thousands more applying this year. Violent crimes against migrants and arson attacks on asylum shelters and mosques have increased in frequency, and refugees say they have experienced discrimination and abuse since the Cologne attacks. The anti-foreigner sentiment is reshaping German politics as well, with the populist Alternative for Germany party surging as it campaigns against Chancellor Angela Merkel's decision to welcome the migrants. The flirting class, participants said, offered a way to get beyond the adversity. Wenzel chatted about pick-up lines, paying compliments and original ideas for first dates, advising those attending to impress and entertain girls they talk to. When class finished, most of the men said they'd learned a lot and were eager to put their new skills to use. But Essam Kadib al Ban, a perky 20-year-old Syrian, who is dreaming of becoming a police officer in Germany one day, remained somewhat unconvinced, saying he'd happily have a German girlfriend but hoped to eventually marry a Syrian girl. "I would like to marry a girl from my country, that has similar traditions to me, with a way of thinking like mine, so we can raise our children according to the same way of thinking about life." Germany: All suspects in subway homeless attack have refugee status - Police confirm
In a statement to Ruptly, on Tuesday, Deputy Head of the Berlin Police Press Officer Thomas Neuendorf stated that the men who are suspected of setting fire to a homeless man on Christmas Eve have refugee status in Germany. The men, all aged between 15 and 21 years old, were identified after CCTV footage was released of them entering a subway train following the attack. Six of the suspects turned themselves in and the seventh was arrested by plain clothes officers. The 37 year old homeless man was unharmed when his clothes were set alight, as passers-by came to his aid. SOT, Thomas Neuendorf, Deputy Head of the Berlin Police Press Officer (German): "The seven suspects are all young men between 15 and 21 years of age. Six of the suspects were born in Syria and one of the suspects was born in Libya. All of the suspects have refugee status here [in Germany]." SOT, Thomas Neuendorf, Deputy Head of the Berlin Police Press Officer (German): "On the first day of the Christmas holidays, in the morning at around 02:00, we had an incident in the Schoenleinstrasse subway station. Seven people set fire to a homeless man who was sleeping on a bench. They set a piece of paper on fire and laid it onto the homeless man. Due to the intervention of a BVG [Berlin Transport Company] employee and of passers-by, who could rescue the man as soon as it happened, he was unharmed. We managed to have very good search photos from the surveillance cameras. These search photos shared with the public and they have apparently led to six of the suspects turning themselves to the police last night. One suspect was arrested by my colleagues in a police unit. All seven of the suspects are now with the Homicide Department, they are being questioned for facts [of the case], and will be assessed alongside the photos taken of the crime. And then finally, the state prosecution service or the judge will decide whether the suspects will remain in custody on remand or whether they will be released." David Garrett November Rain - Violin
Un Cover único de Despacito!! :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b1A0mlQGsY0 David Garrett in one of his live shows, accompanied by an orchestra. In this time David is playing November Rain. I hope you enjoy it! Who is David Garrett? Garrett was born in Aachen, Germany to an American prima ballerina, Dove Garrett, and a German lawyer and jurist,Georg Bongartz. He adopted his mother's maiden name as a pseudonym, as "it was more pronounceable". When David Garrett was four years old, his father bought a violin for his older brother. The young Garrett took an interest and soon learned to play. A year later, he took part in a competition and won first prize. By the age of seven, he studied violin at the Lübeck Conservatoire, and by the age of 12, Garrett began working with the distinguished Polish violinist Ida Haendel, often traveling to London and other European cities to meet her. After leaving home at 17, he enrolled in the Royal College of Music in London, leaving after the first semester. On being asked in an interview if he was expelled, Garrett responded: "Well expelled wasn't the official term... It was mutually agreed that me and the RCM were going separate ways after the first semester. I did skip some lessons -- but I also broke in to do extra practice, so that didn't help!" In 1999 he moved to New York to attend the Juilliard School, in 2003 winning the Composition Competition of Juilliard School with a fugue composed in the style of Johann Sebastian Bach. While at Juilliard he studied under Itzhak Perlman, one of the first to do so, and graduated in 2004. (Information taken from Wikipedia) David Garrett, November Rain - Download this video now!
