Enjoyed this video so much and anxiously awaiting the others. Initially, I believed this to be a vid about spell-binding a BOS to prevent others from misusing a personal BOS. Keep them coming, I'll catch-up. HappyTrailsToYou

+Dawid Lipka Hello, there is no books for sale now, only a journal. All the books I made have been sold, and they can be viewed in the gallery of the website :)

+Nerdforge Are you going to have smaller books for sale like this AUÐUN model on your website? Am I correct that there is only one book available to purchase right now?
Nerdforge (2 months ago)
The auction is over a long time ago, but as the buyer pulled out of the deal, the book is up for sale on: www.thenerdforge.com

Gorgeous work. Have you ever considered doing replicas of the spell books from Culdcept? Its a card game thats huge in japan thats been around for decades. Players can unlock a lot of skins for the books they make for their decks though. Lots of books exist in the series and each is pretty iconic to players. Heres a picture of one of the many book skins in the game. https://imgur.com/i38NF70

It would be cool if you found a way to make the pages replaceable maybe a thing clip on both sides of the book and a metal spine harness that detaches and allows the replacement of failed writing on signatures ?

Wonderful grimoire! I have a question, i usually bind my signatures with staples and glue with no thread. This makes the spine more straight and rectangular and i really like the curved spine of the book. Is it possible to mallet a glue and stapled and get a curved look to it as well?

In wood working a breyer roller, is often used to apply glue. you might want to see if that would be a good addition to your tool kit. Nice work.

I just subscribed to your channel. I find what you do is just amazing work and totally motivating. I love this book you make. My favorite one I love that you did was the Fire Tomb. If you make another one like that, I'd love to buy it from you. I am a poet/writer (not published yet) and I am constantly writing. And now that I've found your channel you make the books I am dying to write in. I am now a die hard fan.

Hey, a quick note. When folding the pages for the signatures, I have found that it works best to fold all the pages in a single signature together. This has a (excuse the pun) two-fold purpose: not only will your pages nestle together better, but reduces the risk or your pages tearing from thread tension (think about when you fold a paper to tear it in half when you don't have scissors). Here is why. When you fold the sheet of paper on its own, it creates a sort of "V" shape on the crease. This can cause the fibers in the paper to buckle more and makes them more prone to tearing or wearing out. Now since a paper is actually two-dimensional, the outside of the crease will be thicker than the inside of the crease. The next sheet will basically be identical to the last, meaning when they are stacked the outside of the top sheet won't fit into the crease of the sheet below. In order to counteract this, we stack the sheets into the desired signature then fold them all together. This creates a series of concentric "U" shapes. this also helps so you do not have to saw as far down when making the holes to sew through to reach the inside most sheet. Creating a longer incision can both show up on the inside of the book and have a greater chance of letting glue seep in which means your book may not open quite right. If you want to take it a step further, you can have your edges trimmed at a local office supply store that has a printing service. This will give you a smoother fore edge which keeps the pages flipping smoothly as you thumb through instead of jumping every half signature. It also will look more finished. Versly, you may also choose to deckle your edges before you even fold the pages. I like to use a triangle and straight edge to keep the deckle not only straight but from going too far into the page (make sure you are tearing along the grain of the paper or this will take forever and look bad). I then take a damp sponge and dampen the part to be torn off and tear along the straight edge. Depending on the thickness of the paper you can do multiple pages at a time. Sorry for the lengthy comment, I just thought maybe you can learn from my mistakes.

You can also use Fray Check on ribbon if it doesn't have enough plastic in it or you can't burn anything

I always stumble into crafty things like these and I always notice that the person crafting is so pretty and well put together. Then I just think to myself that maybe this person is just blessed with talent and since I've never been good at anything and I am far from pretty I just figured that I am cursed. Maybe that is why I screw up in even the simplest of things like drawing, an ugly outside image = untalented, clumsy and unskilled. I don't know, that's just based on what I've noticed...
Woooooow u ve done a great job
